Aaron went up first, his body being the lightest. He struggled to climb, the rocks barely protruding out enough to get a strong hold. He grunted as he slipped on the wet rocks. After he managed to go up atleast ten feet, Kyle followed suit. His muscular arms propelling him forward with ease. He caught up slowly to Aaron, struggling to find a grip. After they were a little out of sight, Ian looked at Kash expectantly.
"Well?" he said, beckoning with his head.

"What?"

"Go on up, I'll be right behind you. "
She looked at him, fear clouding her eyes.

" You're afraid of heights, aren't you? "
She slowly nodded. He sighed.
" Alright. It's just a little way up. I'll be behind you, alright? "
She grimaced, and without a word, she started to climb. Ian followed close behind her, ready to catch her.

" Good. That's it. See? Simple. " he encouraged as she slowly ascended the side of the mountain. She was halfway before she slipped. Her foot slipped on a rock, and she fell. She yelled, her heart in her throat. Suddenly she jerked up as someone caught her. The sudden pull caused her to groan. Ian had her in one hand, and he was hanging on with his fingers. He grunted as he lifted her up again, placing her securely back in her previous position. But the effort was too much, and his remaining fingers slipped. He tumbled downward, and Kash screamed. It's now or never. I'll test what the lady can really do.
Her eyes blazed golden, her hair lighting up with blue fire. She felt power surge through her veins, as she called on the power of the ancient forest.
*****************************************Ian tumbled, the ground getting closer and closer. This is it. Suddenly, oomph! He landed on something hard. He heard a weird noise, almost sounding annoyed. His stomach dropped, and he sat upright, confused. The ground swept by under him, in a blur of color. The clouds had started raining, and his hair was soaked. He felt the damp air in his hair. This must be heaven. He heard loud wings flap. Wait a minute. Wings? He looked down, and almost screamed. He was sitting on a dragon. Atleast that was the closest resemblance. It was bright blue, with deep violet designs. It flew soundlessly through the skies, getting higher and higher. Holy mother of crap. They have flying creatures here? He heard a loud whoop, and looked up. His heart was hammering in his chest. Aaron was three-fourths of the way up, and he was staring at him, a grin on his face.
"Thank you're girlfriend, Tarzan. " he yelled. Kash. Ian quickly looked down, and saw Kash struggling up, her energy seeped out. Ian gently whispered in the dragon mutations ear, hoping it would understand, "pick her up too, okay?"
It seemed to shake it's head. Alright. And I'm talking to a dragon. "Then drop me off next to her." He was starting to get worried. Last time she used her powers, she passed out. The dragon suddenly dropped altitude, and he had to stop from screaming. It hovered gently near the rock Kash was on, and he carefully got off. He patted it's head, unsure of what to do. It slowly lifted up, and flew behind the mountains. Slowly, he grabbed her around her waist. She was trembling.
"Are you alright? " she rasped.

" I'm fine, Kash. You saved my arse. Thank you. But a dragon? Seriously? "

She smiled. Their eyes met, and he looked into her mesmerizing eyes. She stared right back, gazing at him with affection. A rock fell from above, and hit Ian's head.
" Sorry! " yelled Aaron. Ian grumbled. Kash blushed a deep red, and started the climb again.

*****************************************

After about thirty minutes, they finally reached the top. Kash's arms felt like lead, and she could barely stand. Ian grabbed wildly at the edge , and dragged himself up, panting. Aaron bent over the edge, and puked. Kyle slowly stretched his arms, wincing.

"What now? " Aaron said, right before a hole gave way underneath him, and he tumbled inside the mountains.

So, amazing cliffhanger, right? *snorts* Sorry :) So, how many of you thought Ian was dead? Eeeek! I'm so excited to start wrapping up the story! Things will start to get tragic, and there will be broken hearts. Buttttt, the sequel will be coming out soon! Who's excited for the Second one? Question time! So my questions are :

1) Do you want a tragic and mysterious end for the first one, or a regular boring end?

2) What do you think is Kash's power?

3) How do you think the first part will end?
