When I open the door to our apartment it's a warm afternoon in June. The TV plays some cartoon movie with a girl in yellow dress. A soft melody and someone singin the line a tale as old as time takes me back to when I was younger but I don't remember what movie this is.
Kellan has fallen asleep on the couch and I sigh kicking of my shoes and putting my bag with books on the table. My mate stirs as if he's about to wake up and I instanty feel like that would be a shame. So I stroke his hair and nestle down next to him.
Without awakening he curls around me and pulls me in. I let out the breath that I've been holding and close my eyes. From now on, I am not anlone anymore. Turns out life was worth living.
The end
This is it, little demons. Ben and Kellan got their happy ending and even though everything isn't perfect or ever will be life is always worth living.
