Dean parked in the middle of a yellow painted two storey building, he glanced to the side at Mary who was busy typing and smilling at her phone's screen.He glared at the phone and thought of the many reasons she could be smilling so widely at her phone and the reasons he kept thinking about were not helping his mood.
He unbuckled his seat belt and snatched her phone from her hands.
"What is wrong with you?" Mary yelled as she glared at him.
"Nothing that I know of" Dean replied with a smirk and ran to the house.
"Hey! You annoying fowl come back here!" Mary yelled as she slammed the car door shut and ran after him.
They both barged into the house and Mary nearly fell face down as Dean made an abrupt stop close to the staircase.
"What is going on here?" Stella asked as she watched them with hawk like eyes, her hands folded underneath her breast.
A nervous smile made it's way to Mary's face as she fiddled with her hands while Dean stood still before her, as though he was shielding her from his mom whose face looked neutral not giving away what she was feeling.
"Mr and Mrs will you tell me why you were running about like kids?" She asked again.
"We were not running? Dean replied. Stella rose an eyebrow and glared at him.
"Why did I even ask? I'm sure it has everything to do with you annoying Mary." Stella said.
"Me? Annoy her? She was chasing me!" Dean replied as he turned and glared at Mary who smirked and discreetly winked at him.
"Because you ran off with my phone." Mary replied.
"I didn't run off with it, I just took it from you cause you were paying more attention to it than me. And it's so disrespectful!" Dean said with a frown.
Stella looked at both of them as they glared at each other and shook her head fondly.
"I see, now go freshen up and come down to eat before we get going. Mary follow me." Stella said as she walked up the stairs.
Mary and Dean glared at each other as they silently walked behind Stella.
Stella led Mary into a grey and white themed room that was beautifully decorated in a simple yet classic fashion.
"This will be your room whenever you come to this house, now go shower and come down to eat." Stella said.
"Thank you ma" Mary replied with a huge smile as she dropped her bag on the bed and ran around the room.
Stella laughed and walked out of the room, shutting the door behind her.
~~~~~~~~~~
Dean bolted out of the door with Mary right behind him yelling "I win" as he reached the black Mercedes Benz first.
He smirked at Mary who had a defeated look on her face and made to open the door but it wouldn't budge. He tried again and it didn't open, he glared at the car and angrily hit the tire with his legs.
"Ouch!" He yelled as his toe nails made contact with the car tire.
Mary laughed at his stupid display of anger. "Will you shut up!" Dean yelled at her.
"Will you stop acting like a stupid boy?" Mary rhetorted
"God! This only happened because of you! If you weren't here I wouldn't have to run to get the front seat" Dean shot at her.
"Well if you weren't so stupid you would know that I don't even like the front seat. Olodo!" She said and leaned on the car.
"Annoying idiot" Dean said.
Stella walked up to them with neither of them noticing she gave Dean who was facing the car a knock on the head.
"Ouch! What did I do?" Dean pouted at his mom.
"What did I tell you about being rude?" She arched her eyebrow.
"Now apologize, and I saw how you made her run so you Mr. Man will be sitting at the back." Stella said.
"There's no need for that Ma, we were just playing and I like the back seat so he can sit at the front." Mary replied with a sweet smile.
"Such a nice girl, you should learn from her." Stella said as she made her way to the drivers side.
Mary smirked at a glaring Dean as she got into the back seat.
Thirty minutes later they parked in the lekki shoprite parking lot. They got out of the car and walked into the grand shopping mall.
They first walked to the drinks sections and Dean parted from them as he made his way to the wine section while Mary silently followed Stella.
"Which type of drink do you think I should get?" Stella asked Mary.
"Any soft drink is fine ma" Mary politely replied.
"No I need you to pick the drinks cause you know the preference of your mate, children nowadays are too picky. I don't want to pick what I like and it ends up not being your type." Stella said.
Mary nodded at that getting her point. She picked the five alive pulpy orange drink, Pepsi, 7up and bigi apple drink.
"These are the most sought after drinks for now but I don't know the quantity that will be enough" Mary said.
"Don't worry about that my dear, I know the quantity we'll be needing" Stella said and patted her back.
"Dean get three cartons of fruit wine, fruit wine oo, if I see a different thing later I'll deal with you" Stella said in a loud voice as she pointed at Dean who was on the other side.
Dean groaned and looked away embarrassed.
