Dean groaned in annoyance as he copied his geography notes. He didn't understand why the teacher loved frustrating them so much by making them write out exactly what was in the textbook.

It didn't make sense and it was just a waste of time and energy but she made sure to go through their books from time to time and the punishment she dished out when one's notes were incomplete was absurd and he would rather not go through them.

A notification popped up and his eyes lit up when he saw that it was a message from Diane. He hurriedly opened it hoping it was something that had to do with a good time.

He stared in disbelief at the screen, anger surging through him as he struggled to comprehend the reality of what he was seeing.

The image seemed like a cruel joke, yet the more he looked at it, the clearer it became that it was genuine. His grip on the phone tightened, and his breath came in sharp, uneven bursts.

Why did it bother him so much? It wasn't his affair if she chose to flaunt her romance publicly.

Yet, he felt an intense urge to reach through the phone and tear them apart. Frustration swirled within him as he pressed the call button, knowing he had to confront Diane and find out the truth behind this picture.

"Hey, baby. Missing me already?" Diane purred, her voice dripping with sweetness that only fueled his irritation and anger.

"Cut the crap, I don't have time for your dramatic antics. Now tell me the meaning of this rubbish you sent to me!" he snapped, his anger boiling over.

"Why are you so angry? Shouldn't you be over the moon that your tormentor is finally hitched?" Diane said in an annoyed tone. She didn't understand why he was sounding so angry when she had just given him such an amazing.

"I mean look at how happy she looks being in your friend's arms. They look like a match made in heaven! And don't even get me started on the beautiful smile she has on her face as they are leaning towards each other to share a kiss! Gosh, it makes me want to fall in love.
It's like watching Barbie and the prince sharing a kiss!" The amusement she felt was clear in her voice and Dean groaned in annoyance as he closed his eyes tightly, the image of Samuel and Mary on what seemed like a romantic date spiraling through his mind, igniting a storm of emotions within him.

"Diane, I know you all too well, and I see right through your cheap tricks. So don't even think about playing games with me," Dean snapped, his voice laced with irritation. "Where did you even get that picture? And why did you send it to me? Do I look like I'm interested in your gossip?" His anger was palpable, and the tension in the air thickened with every word he spat.

"Relax! Why are you getting so worked up about this? I honestly don't understand your reaction. I just showed you a picture of Mary and Samuel on a date, no biggie! So why are you snapping at me like this? It's starting to annoy me," She replied, her irritation barely concealed. She couldn't fathom why he was responding so intensely to what she considered a trivial matter.

The Dean she knew would have laughed and thrown out mocking remarks at the sight of the picture, enjoying the drama of it all. Yet now, he was a far cry from that version of himself.

What had changed? Why was he taking this so personally? She couldn't shake the feeling that there was something deeper at play, something she hadn't yet uncovered.

"I don't have time for this just tell me where you got that picture from!" Dean angrily snapped.

"Is something wrong with your head? Come and take the answer now lemme see you!" Diane hissed and angrily hung up the phone.

Mary couldn't be happier as she happily skipped into the school premises. She was on cloud nine and she didn't think anything could bring her mood mood.

The teacher could give her a surprise test or even punish the whole class and she wouldn't be moved. She had a feeling that today was going to be a good day.

She couldn't wait to meet up with Angela and give her the whole gist of what transpired the previous day.

"What are you doing here so early in the morning? I thought you'd still be on your date judging by how happily you were clinging to him like a chihuahua. Were you that desperate to get some?
Desperate enough to go about doing giveaway with yourself out in the open for everyone to see!"Dean's voice thundered through the hallway, laced with frustration, drawing the attention of several students who were hurrying to their classes. They paused, curiosity lighting their faces as they witnessed the unfolding drama.

The atmosphere crackled with tension, making it hard for Mary to process the load of insults and belittling remarks that Dean was launching her way. Each word felt like a piercing arrow, sharp and hurtful, leaving her feeling increasingly bewildered and vulnerable amidst the stares of onlookers.

"Are you stupid? Is something wrong with you? Who the fuck do you think you are to say such words to me when all you are famous for us fucking around in classrooms and the janitor's closet. Who are you to talk about someone else being shameless?" Mary felt like she might explode from all the anger she felt.

How dare he insult her and what did he mean by throwing herself on her date?

Chihuahua? He was the fucking dog who couldn't keep his dick to himself!

"And hold the fuck up! Have you been following me? Are you that obsessed with what goes on in my life because yours is such a train wreck?" She was breathing heavily as they both glared at each other heatedly.

"Only a moron would be interested in the life of a glorified cheap slut like you Mary. Stop making a fool of yourself!" Dean's voice erupted in fury as he forcefully pushed her aside, his frustration evident in the sharp movement of his arm.

The suddenness of his action sent Mary stumbling slightly, a mix of shock and hurt flashing across her face.
