"Get in." Malamig na utos ko kay Ember bago halos itulak ko na ito papasok ng sasakyan.

"C-Cray.."

"Get in!" I repeated with the same stern voice.

Ito naman ay nag-iwas ng tingin. "Mom's expecting I'll go back with them pabalik ng isla. So, I can't."

Sa sinabi nito ay mas lalo lang uminit yung ulo ko. Now that we formally announced our current status, she can no longer go back in the island. She'll be forever tagged with me. And I hate it.

"Sana naisip mo yan bago mo tayo nilagay sa alanganin." This time ay ginamit ko na yung lakas ko para pilitin itong maipasok sa sasakyan.

"Damn it, Cray! You're hurting me." Mahinang angal nito at saka nagpipiglas. But No! I can't let her out. Pag hinayaan ko na naman ito bumalik ng isla ay tiyak na ikapagtataka na iyon nila Momma. So, hindi pwede. We'll be stuck together. Hopefully, not forever.

"Mas masasaktan ka pang lalo, Ember. You want this right? Then, embrace it."

I forcefully shut the door on her side at padabog na sumakay din ng sasakyan.

"You're ruining everything for me." Halos pabulong na sabi ko. I really spite her.

Nawala yung inis sa mukha nito at napalitan ng pagkaawa. Is she still pitying me? She's really stupid.

"Where do you plan us to go?" Mahinang tanong nito at saka isinuot yung seatbelt nito.

I scanned up her face and her body. Yeah, she's truly gorgeous. At yung mga gaya nito na sanay sa atensyon ang dapat inaalisan niyon. I wonder what will happen to her if that happens.

"You like me, right?" I started the engine. I have only one place in my mind to go to right now. Siguro dapat ay matagal ko ng inamin iyon dito. Baka sakaling wala kami dito sa sitwasyon namin ngayon.

Hindi umimik si Ember. Hindi nito iyon inamin pero hindi rin itinanggi.

Napailing na lang ako bago napaismid.

Habang nagdadrive ako ay pasulyap sulyap ako dito. Tahimik lang ito. Halatang hindi kinakabahan. Bagamat ay tinawagan na nito yung pamilya nito para sabihing magkasama kami ngayon at posibleng hindi ito makasabay pabalik ng isla.

Ako man ay tinawagan na din ni Momma. Tinanong nito kung makadadaan ba ako sa bahay dahil hinahanap daw ako ni Elle. I just said that I am with Ember.

Pagkarinig pa nga lang nito sa pangalan ni Ember ay hindi na ito nagtanong pa. Marahil ay inaasahan nito na may plano kami ngayong dalawa. We just got married. It's normal for them to think that we can't just keep our hands off each other.

Everyone is at their adolescents transition. Men are after her while women are so jealous of her. Why not? Ember is too pretty and charming for her age. She's undeniably smarter than anyone in class. She's filthy rich and came from a wealthy family. The only flaw? Nothing, just being born a Silva.

I remembered back then the story where Ember was locked up in a room as part of the school frat's initiation for newbies. She was too young back then. She was crying like a baby as the boys are touching her everywhere and the girls are taking pictures of it. Laughing at it. Making fun of her.
