I was sitting in the waiting room of a doctor's office. I was way more nervous than usual, because I was meeting my new doctor. The one I was going to retired. Meeting new people is always nerve wracking, especially when it comes to changing doctors, dentists, etc. I was a little worried because my new doctor is going to be a man. But I was a little hopeful due to all of the good things others have had to say about him. I just hoped they gave him good reviews because he is a good doctor and not just because people think he's 'hot' or anything like that. "Y/n, come on back." One of the nurses said, and my anxiety shot through the roof. I stood up and walked back to be weighed and everything. Then I followed the nurse into one of the examination rooms. I sat down on one of the chairs rather than the bed. Mostly because sitting on the bed has always made me feel uncomfortable. She checked my temperature and whatnot. I tried thinking of one of my comfort characters as she checked my blood pressure, just in hoped that it would cure some of my nervous energy. "I noticed that you're here to see Dr. Brühl. He is wonderful! You're going to love him." She said with an encouraging smile. We made small talk before she left me to wait on my own. As I sat there I kind of just looked at the art that was on the walls; framed pictures that I've seen dozens of times coming here before. Somehow they were almost comforting.

There was a knock on the door before it opened, and a man walked in. He was wearing a light blue buttoned shirt with black pants. "Hello, I'm Dr. Brühl." He said with a small smile as he held out his hand for me to shake. I had to admit that he was a handsome man. And this big brown eyes of his were captivating. "Hi." I said shyly and a small smile spread across his face. "I know you're probably nervous because I'm not your family doctor, but I promise that I'll do whatever I can to help make you feel comfortable." He said. I noticed that he had a cute accent as well. It kinda sounded German, but it was a little different than other German accents I've heard before. "Thank you." I said, not really sure what else to say. We went through my check up like any other check ups I've had. He wanted me to get on the bed so he could check my breathing/lungs and whatnot, so I did so reluctantly. I laid down so he could gently press his hand against my stomach like all of my doctors have done, although I'm not sure why they do that to be honest. I had to hold in giggles, because my stomach is very ticklish. "You're ticklish aren't you?" He said with a playful tone to his lovely voice. I guess he must have felt me tense up while he was doing whatever he was doing. "Yes." I replied, blushing and feeling a little embarrassed.

When I sat up I felt a little flutter of butterflies when we made eye contact. He had the most beautiful smile I ever saw spread across his handsome face. It was so beautiful I couldn't help but smile back. We talked for a little while longer before he scheduled my next appointment. After that I left to get my appointment sheet from the front desk. Oddly enough I instantly started to miss him. From that moment on I began to really like my new doctor. In fact I... I secretly had a crush on him. I knew it was probably stupid to have a crush on your doctor, but I couldn't stop it from happening. He's just so sweet, funny, caring, and kind. I knew I couldn't say anything though, because the last I heard he was dating one of the other doctors in the building. It hurt knowing that I probably didn't have a chance with him. The sound of a knock on the examination room door made my heart skip a beat. When Dr. Brühl walked in I got butterflies and I'm pretty sure I blushed too. 'Hopefully he does notice that.' I thought inside of my head. "Hello, Y/n. It's nice to see you again, although I doubt you'd say the same for me." He said with a small smile. "That's not true. I... I actually like coming here to see you." I replied, feeling shy and awkward. His smile grew, causing me to smile in return. We made small talk before we got into the actual check up. Once again I was sitting on the bed and I tried not to giggle when he touched my ticklish stomach. So I was surprised he actually tickled me on purpose. That time I couldn't hold back.

I giggled and sat up at an attempt to make him stop even though he was being gentle. He had a big beautiful smile on his face and his gorgeous brown eyes were practically sparkling with mischief. "You have an adorable little laugh." He said, and I blushed like crazy. "Thanks." I replied shyly as I looked down at the floor. "Hey um... I know this might not be professional, but... I was wondering of you'd maybe like to go get a coffee with me sometime?" He said. My heart skipped a couple of beats when I looked up at him in surprise. "Sure, I... I'd love that, but aren't you-" I started, but he cut me off. "No, I'm not dating anyone contrary to popular belief." He said with a small smile as he looked at him. "Oh, okay. Good. I mean... you know what I mean." I said, making a fool out of myself. "Yeah, I know what you mean." He said with a light chuckle. He gave me his phone number and we scheduled a date to get coffee together before we said our goodbyes. The whole time I was smiling like an idiot, but I didn't care. Even when a couple of people looked at me strangely.
