Why Xeni Really Came

(Syna pov)

It was 2 am and Xeni was knocked out beside me. It was eating me up inside because I felt there was a deeper meaning as to why Xeni came here. I texted Sade to see if she was up.

me: hey, you up?

Couple seconds went by and three dots popped up.

...

sade: yeah, wassup?

me: hey im finna be otw, I gotta ask you something important

sade: ok, ill be downstairs

I put my phone in my pocket and gently got up so I wouldn't wake Xeni. I grabbed my keys, my bag, and headed out the door.

(Sade's House)

I pulled up into Sade's drive way and turned my car off. I sighed because of how tired I was but I just couldn't manage to sleep right.

I got out the car and locked my door. I reached the front door and unlocked it, stepping inside. I instantly seen Sade sitting on the couch eating and watching tv. I laughed to myself.

"Why the hell you doing up, wide awake at that?!"

She looked over at me and laughed.

"Im always up at 2" she smiled.

I flopped down next to her and sighed heavily.

"Whats on your mind"

"I wanna know why Xeni really came to live with you"

"Hmmmm, what made you think of that?"

"Last night Xeni and I were talking about it and I feel like it's more to it"

"Well yeah it is... but let me finish my food first"

She stuffed more food into her mouth and I sighed dramatically so she could hurry up.

"Uuuughhhh Sadeeee"

"Syna stop" she gave me that look.

"Stop what? I'm just breathingggg"

"You know what I'm talking about Syna don't play stupid"

"Saadddeeeee"

"Ok ok fine!" she sat her food down and sipped some water from her water bottle.

"Ok, so you already know about her parents right?"

I nodded my head yes.

"So , while she was working at Walmart she stated to me how she needed money and she needed it fast so I asked her if she was sure and if she was gonna be committed to it so I imtroduced her to selling drugs. Before she could get started, the apartment folks had already kicked her out so she asked to stay with me .. and me I didn't mind so I said sure. When she first started out she was doing the basics like transferring the drugs and contacting certain people and junk of that sort."

"So she's one of us"

"Yes."

"WTF, I thought she was just a innocent girl. Too good to be true. I mean shit this is even better. Maybe we could even start working together."

"I mean that's a huge step for her, she's still a bit new and stuff."

"I wouldn't force it on her or start her off with hard ass shit ofcourse. I don't want to see her get hurt or die or sum, you know?"

"Yeah I feel ya. And look I know she didn't want anyone to know but I already know how you get when it comes down to you wanting to know something, curious ass.." she fake rolled her eyes.
