Leaving So Soon?

(Syna's Pov)

Xeni and I were finally back home safe and sound. For the rest of our trip we got rid of our technologies and had our personal time. We didn't tell anybody I proposed, which was perfect because I want it to be a surprise. We arrived back to the house and thankfully Sade wasn't home. She would've definitely saw the large shiny rock on Xeni's hand. She's been examining her hand all day and I'm glad to say I'm very happy about it. I knew she'd love it.

"You look sleepy babe. You should take a nap."

"That was my first thought." Xeni laughed. We parted our ways as she went towards the room & I went to the laundry room.

I carried our bags to the washing machine and began sorting our clothes between darks, lights and colors. After sorting the piles and putting the first load in the wash, I actually wanted to go lay down myself. I got up to my room and closed the door behind me. I stripped free of my clothes and laid next to Xeni. She was laying so comfortably, I made sure to not wake her when I got adjusted in bed. I scooted up behind her, being the big spoon, and wrapped my arms around her. I knew the clothes wouldn't take but an hour, so this nap was cut way shorter than I'd usually nap. Xeni moved gently against me, and her body seemed more relaxed once she realized I was behind her. The room was filled with silence, and after about 15 minutes of half slumber, Xeni spoke.

"When were we planning to move?"

"I'm not in a rush, we could honestly move whenever we want. I would want to make sure Sade is fine with where she wants to move though. I know this is a different change for us. This isn't just another move, this is our home to grow our family.. and I know that Sade and I have always imagined the days where we could break from our lifestyles and build a family with our wives. It's finally happening."

Xeni turned to face me and I didn't notice the tears roll down my face so quick. She wiped my face dry and gave me pecks of kisses all over my face and lips.

"This moment is here because you're ready. You are the best thing in the world I could ask for."

"I love you. We have many more years to come."

"I love you more."

We took our quick nap and Xeni agreed to finish washing up the clothes. She knew I needed to see Sade about us moving and how soon this would happen. I grabbed my phone and went to my contacts. I called Sade and let my phone ring.

"Helloooo. You back home I see. Wassup?"

"Where you at girl?"

"Just leaving this meeting with Soya."

I gave her this side eye look and she laughed.

"Nahhh man it's not even like that. I'm on my way to the house though. You need me?"

"Yeah. We gone go on the porch and catch up."

"Alright cool. I just gotta stop by the store for some woods and shit. I know your thirsty ass want some to drink so I gotchu."

I laughed so loud there was an echo through the house.

"And some hot ruffles thank you."

Sade arrived shortly after our call. I was already on the porch waiting, stalling time on Tiktok. I heard the door slide open and I looked up to see Sade smiling.

"Why you grinning so hard?" I chuckled.

"I missed you duh." she put a feminine tone in her voice.

I paused and laughed.

"I missed everybody tooo. I have great news to tell you."

"Really? How was the trip?"

I grabbed my phone to show a photo of Xeni's hand with the ring.

"Daaamn that's niceee! I know she loves it." Sade was smiling like a proud auntie.

"Yeah, the moment was perfect.. but you know what I'm about to bring up though."

Sade sighed and gave me a look. I watched as she pearled the rest of the wood and began to light it up.

"I know. I don't feel any type of way by it. I just need to get myself together and I'll be alright. I did find this nice house though. It's about 20 minutes away from here." she paused to inhale, then slowly exhaled faint smoke.

"..but what do you plan on doing with this house?"

"I know exactly who could move in here.. if I can convince them to come."

"You thinking of Horas?"

"Hell yeah.. he need to stop playing and just come up here with us. I don't see what's keeping him back. We have to go convince him before we both move."

"For sure." Sade passed me the blunt.

I grabbed it gently as I inhaled deeply, and exhaled slowly.

"How do you feel about Soya? I don't really see you guys together as much."

"It's not anything wrong with her honestly, it's me. You know how much we've been through with Daria and that can't just rub off so easily. I feel like I lost her after a certain point, and I don't want anything bad to happen to her. I just need to focus on my mental and our business that we're growing together."

I smiled at the last sentence and nodded my head.

"Yeah, you got it. I'm here for anything you need."

Sade and I went back into the house to look up the house she was planning on moving into. While 20 minutes isn't too far, I want to make sure everything is nice and good for her because she isn't just going to be up the street.

I made a few calls to the boys to go and visit the house, keep watch and inspect around to make sure everything was really secure. It would take a few days so I told them to be careful and keep me updated.

"Syna, you know I'm good."

"I know, but you never know. And it doesn't hurt to just make sure, right?"

We made plans to go see the house after the boys investigated the scene, but I wanted to see this place for myself.. so I was going to go tomorrow.
