Angel

(Xeni's pov)

It was 2 am and I couldn't sleep. I was so exhausted but I just couldn't get myself to sleep. I was scrolling in instagram when I got a dm from someone.

Angeeel._ : hey, long time no see 🙃?

I eyed the dm. Who the hell was this?

I went onto her page and her face was familiar. I decided to text back, maybe my memory will become more clear.

me: Wsp

Angeel._: do you remember me?

me: not really

Angeel._ my name's Angel , remember we would smoke together?

Now it clicked, I use to have a fat crush on Angel. But she always said I was 'too young' at the time so I just moved on from her. Not gone lie when she told me that my feelings was hurt cause I know she was feeling me too.

me: oh yeah, how you been

Angeel._ : im fine, did you want to talk on the phone... if you didnt mind

me: sure

I gave her my phone and a few minutes later she called.

"Hello"

"Hey"

"Why you not sleep" I lightly chuckled.

"Cause, im stressed"

"Wassup, what got you stressed"

"This stupid ass job"

"Where you work"

"Im a nurse and the people there just be driving my patience, im finna just quit"

"What? Why? Im sure whatever is happening up there isn't that bad"

"Girl I had a old lady throw up on my new crocs earlier, let me not go there"

"Ohhh wow, I would've smacked that lady"

"Oh my goddd" she laughed loudly into the phone.

I laughed with her and held onto my stomach.

"Lorddd you are too funny"

I cleared my throat and leaned over to drink some water. I glanced over and seen her eyeing me. I gulped my water and spoke.

"What, its sum on me" I wiped my mouth.

"Oh, no I- I was just...looking"

"Mmm..." I licked my lips on purpose and she let out a sigh like moan.

"You good over there?"

"Yeah yeah im...im good"

A few seconds went by and I got curious to ask her something.

"Wait so ..why you hit me up on ig? What made you think of me?"

"Um, so you see how I was stressed and stuff? I wanted to start smoking again... thats why I wanna leave my job"

"Wait what you mean again? You stopped smoking?"

"Im a nurse Xeni, we take unexpected drug tests sadly soo I was thinking of quiting because I wanted to smoke..."

"Angel wait.. would you really wanna quit being a nurse just for that? I don't think it would be would that loss"

That's the craziest shit I ever heard. I wish I could smack the sense through her head right now.
