If You Insist

(Soya POV)

"Damn.... what?"

"...."

"But that's impossible. I've done everything I could and you mean to tell me all my hard work was for nothing?"

"...."

"Enough said. Thank you for all your time here at this facility, but I feel as though I need a better management and team who takes things like this serious."

I sighed heavily while placing my phone on my desk. Just when I thought nothing else could go wrong.. something like this happens. I always tried my best to help every client I have at whatever they need.. I'm legit.. well atleast I thought I was.

Don't think like that.

"Rick."

I saw my door slowly open and there was Rick, one of my closest teammates.

"We need to find new management, and quick."

"Fuck Soya what did you do now!?"

"It's not what I did, it's what they didn't do."

Rick came in and sat at my chair across from my desk.

"What happened?"

"So you know the client that came in about a few months ago, Frank? Their photography business is expanding quickly. They needed a area that was bigger than what they used to have before, BUT the team I sent out to fix the place up and get everything together weren't there. The report time was 10:30 AM, it's 12:46 PM right now. I'm just now hearing from them and their excuse was 'We didn't know the address'. If that's the case why didn't you hit me and ask for the address? I'm over it."

"Well you have a point."

"And this isn't the first time they've pulled something like this. There's only so many screw ups before I'm like ok... we can't keep doing this. So yeah we don't have a cleaning team anymore."

"Hey that's alright. I can hit some people up and see what I can get. Just don't beat yourself up."

I nodded. I decided that I've had enough work for today, so I packed it up and went home. I arrived home and sat all my things on the counter. I just wanted to take a bath and relax. I'm not usually as stressed, but this time of year is usually the busiest. I was thinking of going out with some friends later and maybe have a drink, trying to take my mind off things..

I went to my room and picked out a silk robe. I went to my bathroom and ran my bath water. I let the water get to a certain amount before I stripped free of my clothes. I stuck one toe in and damn near melted.. wait not because the water was hot, but because I know this soak was going to feel amazing. I was in.. relaxing, listening to some music when my phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Hey.. sorry were you at the office today?"

Sade's voice rang through my ears.

"N-no.. I actually just left about a hour ago. Is everything ok?"

"Yeah, I was gonna come in and share some stuff we had in mind. Or I could wait 'til whenever you're back in office another day. It's up to you."

"Well actually I was going to go out with some friends, but we could step out and discuss over drinks or.."

"Oh yeah that's cool. What time?"

"How about in an hour?"

"Perfect. See you in a bit"

I ended the call and something in me was anxious to start getting ready to see Sade tonight. I mean I was excited to see what their ideas were. And it's not like we're going to be alone.
