(Soya's POV)

"What do you think they will say to me?"

"That they miss you! And thank you for taking this opportunity they can't believe it!"

"Why am I so nervous?"

"Because it's been sooo long."

I sighed.

"I know it's been awhile, but you'll warm up to it though. But if you don't feel like it anymore you know what to do."

I nodded.

We were about 45 minutes out from The Beauty Palace's new location. We took a small road trip to go see the place and to talk with Jill, she's the owner of the whole place.

To break down everything that's going on, let's take a trip down memory lane. When I first decided to move to California, I needed a job. The first thing in mind was a simple job, like the  grocery store. After a couple of months, they began cutting my hours and the pay became horrible, so I quit. After that, Ramiah put me on to her job as a security guard at a hotel. It was good pay, but the job wasn't for me.. for personal reasons.. so I quit. There was one day though I was walking to meet up with Ramiah and I saw this building with flashing lights.

The Beauty Palace.

I was curious to see what it was, so I went inside.

"Hey honey we're not opened ye-" she froze and examined me.

"...well... how are you?" the tall woman approached me.

I looked up slightly to give her my eye contact.

"I'm fine.. how are you?"

"I'm great.. what brings you here?"

"The lights were intriguing.." I chuckled.

She joined my light laughter.

"Ahhh, I knew they would bring more customers in."

"Customers? What do you do here?"

She gave me a smirk.

"How about you sit down and watch the show. I'll get you something to drink, lemon drop?" she gave me a smile as I nodded. I watched as she walked away, disappearing behind a door.

After everything had occurred, I said my goodbyes and went to exit. Before I left, the woman thanked me for coming by and gave me her number to 'visit her sometime'. After meeting with Ramiah, I told her everything that happened and she was so excited thinking that I got a job there.

"A job? I couldn't compete with those girls on them poles! Where would I even start? Who would tea-"

Ramiah cut me off before I could continue my nervous breakdown.

"Look... I'll teach you if you really want to learn.."

I sighed heavily, thinking on everything I just saw.

"Let's do it."

We arrived at the new location and there were those intriguing lights again, except she exchanged them with new stuff. I put my car in park and we both got out of the car. I grabbed my phone to shoot a text saying that we arrived, but I was greeted by the familiar tall woman, Jill.

"Hey, how are you?"

"I'm doing great, how are you?"

"Feeling great now that you're here... let's go to my office so we can talk."

We head inside and follow behind her as we walked to her office. I didn't have a chance to roam around the place because everything was covered by curtains, so I hoped afterwards we'd get a better glance at it all. We got inside and she closed the door behind us. We sat at the chairs in front of the desk as she slowly walked around and sat in front of us.
