Kalea's Perspective

"Well I've examined Cassandra's blood and it looks like she's pretty healthy. However, her blood had specks of purple in it. I have never seen anything like this, but I'll run more tests on her blood," Vanessa informed writing things quickly on a clipboard.

"Ok, but Vanessa she's a Skywolf does that have anything to do with it? Umm, why do you think she had trouble staying in wolf form," I asked with too much concern.

"A Skywolf?" Vanessa reiterated finally looking up from her clipboard, "that must be a theory for the purple specks in her blood but I'm not sure. And as for Cassandra not being able to hold her wolf form for a long time, it could be because she isn't used to being in wolf form. An outside reason could be accessed but as for now I suggest that she practices shifting like we do when kids turn 10 years of age."

"Ok," I nodded before following Vanessa out of the office.

I knew Cassandra would hate being in the class with 10 year olds but it's best for her.

"Dill Pickle!" I called. I saw him roaming through the empty hallway alone and decided to interrupt his peace. "Vanessa said that Cassandra would have to train with the new wolves," I said unnecessarily loud. He attempted pushing past me but I held him back.

"Don't call me that, Lea. And why," he growled, annoyed, rolling his eyes.

"She isn't used to being in wolf form so she will have to train with the kids," I said.

"Alright, now move," he huffed pushing me forcefully. As he began to walk past me, I tripped backwards over my feet but, fortunately, Dylan caught me before I could.

"Thanks a lot," I whispered, purposefully lacing sarcasm through my tone. I smirked to myself and got an idea for revenge almost immediately.

"Dill pickle, have you seen Cassandra and Annabella? I want to show them what I begged daddy to let me do to the guest room," I jumped excited. I knew that telling him about the room that we've been fighting over for months now would push just the right buttons.

As I expected, his face dropped and he froze in his path. I couldn't help but chuckle at my spoiled, Alpha brother as he spun around to face me.

"Dad, let you..."

"Yup! He let me turn it into a closet!" I emphasized just to piss him off.

Dylan's features tightened and he frowned heavily. He looked like he was constipated. I tried my hardest to stifle my laughter but it was hard. Without another word, Dylan spun on his heels and stormed away into his office.

After he slammed the door, I couldn't help but burst into laughter. I laughed until tears were falling from my eyes and my stomach was cramping. Dill pickle knows I love him. I walked past his door purposefully and yelled, "Love you, Dill Pickle!"

"Shut up," he yelled in response. I laughed and proceeded down the hallway.

*********

"Rooaar!" Annabella yelled with an animal cracker shaped like a giraffe in her hand sitting across from my dad. Annabella and my dad were at the dining room table playing with animal crackers. My dad smiled widely at Annabella. She was wearing blue pajamas with little rubber ducks on them.

He must've bought her that. My dad had a new baby girl. I couldn't help but smile.

"Annabella, that's a giraffe," my dad laughed at her.

"Is it... mooo," she asked.

"No, giraffes make no sound, only when they eat leaves," he smiled biting the head off of the elephant animal cracker in his hand. "They go nom-nom-nom on the leaves."
