One week later
"Dylan," I called walking into his office. I felt that it was time to not keep this secret from him anymore. My past is the past, but it seemed to be creeping up on me yet again.
"Yea," he asked sitting at his desk, scanning through a stack of papers. He looked exhausted, as if he hasn't slept in days. I contemplated leaving him alone.
I picked with my fingernails while thinking. Noticing my hesitance, he redirected his attention from his work to me.
"Princess?" He cooed. He stood quickly from his desk and ambled to my side. "What's bothering you?" He raised a rough hand and caressed my face as gently as he could.
"Alia-" I began to babble but was interrupted.
"Dylan, time to meet with the Sunlight Pack's alpha to negotiate the terms of alliance," Dylan's dad informed peeking into the office before backing out. Shutting the door again, I elicited a short sigh.
"We'll talk about this later, okay? It's getting late so I want you to go get some sleep for tomorrow, Princess. We're going to school. Oh and after school, you have combat training with Elliott and Kalea." He kissed my lips softly and headed for the door.
"Ok, but who's Elliott," I asked but he left before even answering. I shrugged and made my way up the long staircase and into the guest room I slept in. I gently lied myself onto the cushioned bed and was immediately fast asleep.

I woke up in the middle of what looked like a secluded area. Evaluating my surroundings- the light winds and the sound of nature and insects- I knew I was outside all of a sudden. I threaded the pieces of wet grass between my fingers and stood shakily. I had no shoes on. I wiggled my toes in the grass, listening to the loud rustling of the grass due to my actions. I raised my hands to my waist and gripped the clothing on my body. If my fingertips were right, I was wearing the same pair of pajamas I had been wearing all day.
It was pitch dark out here, and there wasn't a single star in the sky. Grey fog rose creating a thick atmosphere of inauspiciousness. I looked around but to no avail. Nothing was visible but the hostile fog lining the sky.
"Dylan?" I called out into the thick air but there wasn't a response.
I began to walk forward- which ever way that was- but before I took a step I heard a little girl's voice whispering a weird twist of the Barney theme song, but it was much slower. I looked around for the girl but I still couldn't see.
"I love Cassy...Cassy loves me...but lets get together and kill Cassey...with a great, big knife, let's stab her in the back... I can't wait to hear...her... scream."
I felt like I was going to throw up. Not just because the song was directly for me, but I knew the voice.
It was Annabella's voice.
"Annabella?!" I shouted into the thick air starting to run but not knowing where. The song started again but a little louder and a little boy was singing it this time.
It was Adonis singing. I felt the tears fall uncontrollably in fear. But I had the slightest bit of hope that I was running towards the source of their voice.
This fear wasn't unfamiliar. The more I ran the louder the song got. I started running as fast as my legs would allow, desperately attempting to run away from this song ringing in my ears.
I started hyperventilating before I collapsed onto the grass covered ground. I was getting no where. The song was booming in my ears now. I covered my ears, pushing my hands over my ears hoping to mute it. Trying to stifle the tears and fear running through my veins wasn't necessary anymore. There was no stopping my weeping.
