You're Mine

I ran down the stairs, but not knowing where I was going. I felt so many emotions at once, but I felt nothing at the same time. That's my mate.

But then I came to a realization. Alia was so much prettier. She had a figure like a model and she was beautiful and I wasn't. The jealousy was just added onto the pain, betrayal, and fear.

Robert was right when he said that I wasn't enough and that I wasn't worth it. I always tried to ignore the things Robert said, but my own mate confirmed that I wasn't enough.

I ran down the hallway and went into a door that was open. Dylan's mom was laying in a bed, I was guessing was hers, reading a book. She looked up at me and her eyes filled with sorrow immediately.

"Honey, what's wrong," she said throwing her book aside and running to me.

"Nothing... I just was thinking about home and how horrible it was... and my mom," I half lied. I really did miss my mom.  Even though she wasn't there most of the time, she still was the sunshine to my day when she was there.

"Honey, you can have a home here with us," she smiled.

"Why are you letting me stay here? I can be a serial killer or something. You just met me," I sniffed. She chuckled slightly and looked at me with motherly eyes.

"I knew you weren't a threat to this pack from the first time laid eyes on you. When Kalea brought you here, the look in your eyes showed that you were just a physically and mentally abused girl that was seeking help for her and her little sister. I immediately took you in because of that. Oh and plus the fact that you're my Dylan's mate!"

"Wait, what? How do you know?" I blushed slightly.

"Oh, he shows it all the time! He's crazy about you. But that's not the point! Cassandra. You are already considered a part of this pack on your first day-"

"Cassandra!" Annabella says bursting into the room. "Come meet my new friends."

"Oh she's met the pack. Go ahead with her," Dylan's mom says.

"Thanks ummm Mrs. Matthews," I ask.

"No just call me Charlotte," she smiles picking up her book again.

Annabella dragged me into the living room, and there was a group of teens that all looked like they were my age.

"Look at my sister," Annabella announced. They looked at me and waved.

"You must be the new luna everyone's been hearing about," a girl with purple hair and beautiful blue eyes said.

"Her name is Cassandra, not Luna," Annabella whispers to her causing the girl to laugh.

"Yea, and I'm not the Luna yet. Not officially at least," I said.

"So if you're not the Luna how about you come sit on my lap and let me get to know you better," a boy that looked older said.

"No, David, that girl don't want you," someone that looked exactly like Hannah said. she looked just a little different in her facial features.

"Hi, Hannah," I waved at her. I wondered if my mind was still discombobulated and that was why Hannah looked a bit different.

"Her name is Holly," Annabella says running over to the exact replica of Hannah.

"Yea, I'm Holly. Hannah's my twin." How many twins and triplets do they have here?
"Well I'm Mandy, and that's my brother, David," the girl with the purple hair says. She sounded like she had an "I don't care" attitude but she dressed like she was girly.

Before I can respond, Dylan walks in silently.

"Can I talk to you, Cassandra," Dylan said. Everyone was silent and looking closely at me and Dylan.

"Hi Dylan," Annabella waved skipping over to us. Annabella was happier than I've seen her in a really long time. She hugged his waist tightly. He hugged her back and smiled at her simply. "Hi, Bell," he said.

"Come on, Bella. We're going to watch Matilda," Holly announced. She let go of Dylan and ran after her with David and Mandy following. I guess Holly knew that Dylan wanted to talk about something serious. I reluctantly followed him out of the living room. We walked past a open door and he suddenly pulled me into the door and locks the bathroom door. Fear ran through my veins keeping me rooted to the floor. What is he going to do to me?

"You're mine, ok," he demanded softly in my ear.

"No I'm not, Alia is yours and I can't interfere with that," I sighed.

"Why don't you want a mate? I'm destined to be with you," he asked. I sensed a little anger in his voice.

"Why do you want Alia," I asked with a little more attitude than I intended. I wanted to be with Dylan, of course, but I would never take anything, or anyone, from anybody. Everything came with consequences.

"ANSWER ME," he demanded pushing me against the bathroom sink. I felt enclosed and trapped within his big, strong arms, but at the same time... I felt safe.

"You're mine," he growled. A sigh escaped my lips as his lips grazed my neck. A spark of electricity traveled through my body as he touched me. I couldn't get enough of his fiery touch. I wanted to wrap my arms around him, but my hands were glued to my sides.

"Say it," he whispered. I was afraid to because I thought I'll say something wrong, but if I didn't say anything he probably would get angrier than he already was. His wolf would surface if he got any angrier.

"You're my mate, you hear me? No one is able to touch you but me. Mine," he growled again. I sighed again wondering if his wolf would emerge.

"But A-Alia," I tried but he silenced me with his soft lips. The way his lips were on mine shocked me. I was amazed that he wanted me, but disgusted because I all I can think of is Robert's disgusting lips smashing against mine.

I was filled with bliss and ecstasy from Dylan. The feeling pushed any thoughts of Robert away quickly when he pulled me closer into his warm, strong body. The closer he pulled me against his body the more my memories burned away. His lips massaged mine in such a sweet and sensual way. He pulled back and let me catch my breath. I panted heavily as he pressed his forehead against mine

"I want to be yours but... but I don't want to be hurt by you." I looked into his beautiful grey eyes and saw it fill with sorrow. I was certain that I would be hurt all over again if I put myself into a relationship.

"I would never do that to you. You're too precious to hurt. Alia isn't anything to me. She just throws herself at me," he said running his hands down my arms. "I had all my clothes on which you saw."

His touch made my ebony skin blush. He pecked my lips repeatedly and for the first time ever, I was not thinking about Robert.

"Well Dylan," I whispered feeling more confident. "I'm yours."

"Great," he sighed as a cheesy smile spread across his face, giving me a full view of his straight set of teeth. He pulled away and unlocked the door and swung it open.

Standing outside of the door was Alia.
