I threw myself into my mother's arms. My emotions flew wildly in my heart as I squeezed her.

"Hi, Cassandra," my mom whispered in my ear over the wind. She squeezed me tighter and kissed the crown of my head.

I felt warm being enveloped in my mother's arms once again. I felt loved but not... safe. I pulled back slowly and looked up. I leaned in slightly to see the silhouette of my mom's puffy eye.

"Mom, wha-"

"Honey, there's no time to explain that. Me and your friend, Hannah, have something very important to tell you. It's significant that you take this seriously." I nodded and prepared myself for what I was about to be told.

"Robert... wanted me to give you this," Hannah said pulling a folded slip of paper out of her front pocket of her jeans. The wind blew harder and I grew colder, contemplating what the note could possibly say.

I took the note and pocketed it. We all stood in silence. All of us thinking about what to do next.

"Can't you just run away? He's not here now, you can just run away now," I suggested grabbing their wrists and pulling lighty trying to get them to come with me. They resisted and stayed rooted to their place in the ground.

"I don't think that would be an option," a cruel voice spat at me from behind. I turned to see Robert emerging from the driving seat of the car.

"You and your pathetic idiosyncracy of thinking so little of everything is so amusing to me. Your mom and friend are under my control until you give me what I want," he spoke over the wind. Once he was by my side, he grabbed my hand. I winced and pulled away quickly.

"Just like your sister. Well, read the note and you'll see what it takes to get your precious mother and friend. But if you don't take what is said in the note seriously, Sandra and Hannah will be my permanent prisoners but won't be in my basement. They'll be ...in their graves. I want what I want, Cassandra. And I'll get it," He warned rubbing his hand down my arm.

"Get in the car," he demanded my mom and Hannah. They hesitated before throwing themselves into me.

"I'm going to miss you," Hannah smiled pulling away. My mom smiled and caressed my cheek softly. "Be good," she whispered. The wind picked up, blowing my short costume also.

"Ugh, you're wasting my time. Get in the car!" Robert yelled. Hannah and my mom reluctantly got into the car. In no time, the car pulled off. My first instinct was to run and get help.

I ran back into the house and everything looked normal. I pushed my way through the crowd and to Dylan. He was sitting at the bar with his head down with a shot glass in his hand. I walked swiftly over to his side and shoke him.

"Dylan!"

"Hmmmmm," he groaned shifting in the bar stool.

"We need to get home, NOW," I yelled over the music.

"Ughh noooooooo," he pouted pushing me away with a strong hand. I stumbled back and struggled to maintain my balance.

"Dylan, you're acting crazy, are you drunk?" I shoke him once again and he didn't respond. I mentally groaned and pushed him

"Fine," I groaned turning to go look for Kalea. I pushed through the crowd once more agitated and worried that no one will be able to help me.

I spotted Stephanie sitting at the other end of the bar with David. "Hi Stephanie, did you see Kalea?"

"Oh, hi Cas, well she is in that room over there with Elliot," she said pointing towards the door on the other side of the house.

"Proceed with caution," David teased. I giggled and began to walk. My feet were aching badly from all of this walking. I felt like I was hiking up Mount Everest due to the degrees it was in this house.

I approached the door and stopped when I heard a soft moan. I quickly knocked before they can gi any further.

"Who is it," Kalea yelled angrily.

"Ummmm it's me, Cassandra. I need help," I pouted.

"I'm coming, Cassy. Just a sec," she yelled. I waited patiently outside of the door until she exited with Elliot behind.

"What's so critical that you had to interrupt my personal time?" Kalea said planting her hands on her hips.

"Robert came here today and he has Hannah and my mom. The only way to save them is stated in this note," I said pulling the paper from my pocket.

****************

"Read the paper!" Kalea urged Elliot. Everyone was in the living room waiting for the news to be unveiled. Dylan was next to me squeezing me tightly. He got over his drunkenness pretty quickly.

"Ok, ok baby," he said unfolding the paper. I tensed a little at the mistake Elliot made constantly. Dylan pulled a confused face and eyed Elliot skeptically.

"If you want your mother and Hannah back you have a requirement to meet. I want you, Cassandra, and Annabella to be returned back to me. You know where to find me, Cassandra. I want you and Annabella to come alone with your Alpha boyfriend. Your mother and friend will die if you don't follow my rules. I'll see you tomorrow at 8:30, no later." Elliot finished with a loud sigh.

Kalea grabbed Elliot's hand and squeezed it tightly. They were obviously too caught up in the moment to care about what anyone else thought. Dylan balled his fists and his breaths became short. I softly placed my small hand on his large one, and he calmed instantly.

"What has been going on with you two," Dylan's dad said lowly.

"Nothing," Kalea smiled sweetly and slowly moved her hand away from Elliot's.

"Are you dating?" Dylan growled trying to keep his composure.

"Look, we were gonna tell everyone when the time was right," Elliot blurted. I stifled my laughter at how apprehensive he was when he was under pressure.

"How long have you been dating," Dylan's mom said going to sit next to Kalea.

"About 2 years," she muttered.

"Look, I would love to hear about Kalea and Elliot's relationship but my sister might die tomorrow," Holly barked.
"I need to go regroup my thoughts," Cody said standing suddenly and walking out of the room. Treyven stood started to speak loudly.

"Holly's right, we need to think of a plan to get rid of this Robert man. And boo, I got a fabulous one. We'll need our beautiful Annabella and Adonis as the catalysts."
