Cassandra's Perspective
I slammed my back against the wall in frustration. I stood outside of the door where my body laid. I could see everyone but I couldn't hear them. I was out of my body.
Right now, the hallways of the pack hospital was empty. Every now and then a doctor or nurse would walk pass and check on the other patients that I never bothered to go and see who they were. I just stood there watching my body lay lifeless for hours as I watched people come and go.
I sat on the floor and brought my knees up to my chest. For a second, I just sat there in the empty hallway before I heard slow steps coming my way. I looked up and my eyes widened in joy. I jumped up to go and hug him, but I had forgotten that I couldn't been seen or heard. He stared at me or maybe something close to me. I looked around and saw nothing but plain, white wall.
"I missed my Dylan," I whispered to myself.
"I missed you too, princess," he said stopping in front of me and holding out a hand to me. I stared, dumbfounded. "You can see me?" I asked nervously taking his hand.
"Yes, I can see you, Cassandra."
"But how? I'm in a coma a-"
"Me too, in fact we are all in a coma," he said with a small smirk.
"What do you mean? How are you in a coma? Who else?"
"Elliott, Alyssa, Anastasia, Alia, and my dad," he said casually pulling me to my feet. He was so calm about it all.
"How did that happen?" I asked locking my hand in his.
"Annabella, she was taken over by a ownerless, fully-grown wolf. It stops everyone's heart that's around when it happens." I sighed and laid my head on his shoulder. I needed to get out of this coma. I need to see Annabella.
"Where are the others then?" I asked sympathetically. He wrapped his arms around me and held me tight. "They're waking up from their comas."
"Wait! How? I've been here," I said loudly pulling away.
"Because they want to. The doctors can only do so much for you, the rest is up to you. You have to really want to. Push yourself, princess."
"I'm trying, I want to wake up," I pleaded.
"I believe that you want to wake up but I know that there is some doubt in your mind. You have to get that out of your mind if you're gonna wake up. Honestly, you have to believe in yourself that you'll wake up. You have the power."
"I'm not that strong," I whispered. He shook his head and opened his mouth to say something but was stopped by a familiar voice. It was Alia's voice that echoed off of the walls. She was wearing the same thing but she had no shoes on.
"You are strong, Cassandra. I know that you are," she said hopefully getting closer to us.
"How do you know? You don't even like me," I stated with a grimace.
"You're right. I didn't like you because I saw that you were gonna bring trouble to this pack when I first saw you."
"How?" I asked as she stopped in front of me.
"I'm just like Annabella. I can see the future and every time I was close to you I would have visions about the pack being thrown into turmoil because of you," she said simply. I tilted my head in confusion at her. I didn't want to accept what she said. How can I be the reason of the fall of a whole pack?
"What?" I mumbled.
"But that's not the point. I kept hurting you because every time I did, my visions were getting better. The future of the pack was looking better. I thought it meant that if I kept torturing you then you would leave. But then I noticed something when I agreed to help Robert..." She trailed off.
"What," Dylan demanded fiercely. She grimaced and growled at him before continuing.
"I noticed that my visions were getting better because you were getting stronger. Every time I knocked you down, you got back up stronger."
I stared at her, speechless. I felt no stronger than I was before. Every time she had hurt me all I wanted to do was go in a corner and cry. How was I stronger?
"Trust me. I know you're strong. You have the strength to wake up. Not physical strength, but mental strength." Dylan pulled me into a tight embrace before kissing my lips lightly and letting go.
"You are the only one who can determine if you wake up or not," Alia smiled. A group of nurses ran down the corridor quickly pushing a cart along with them. The group split as half of them entered room 122 and the others entered 124. "My sisters are waking up, I have to go."
"Thank you so much, Alia," I mumbled.
"No prob."
Alia walked, past me and Dylan, towards the hospital exit. She never turned to look back at us. She opened the double doors slowly and faded away as she stepped out of the door into the darkness.
"I believe in you, Princess," he said giving me one last kiss before following Alia's path to the hospital double doors. I watched as he repeated Alia's actions, walking out of the doors and vanishing into the darkness. Leaving me alone.
I sighed and returned to my place against the wall. I brought my legs up to my chest and buried my face in my legs.
"I hope I wake up. I want to wake up. I need to wake up. I believe that I can wake up," I repeated to myself.
"I am strong. Stronger than I think." I smiled internally. I actually believed myself. I was strong.
"I will make a great Luna some day," I whispered to myself. Then it happened. My eyes closed without my command. Everything flashed before my eyes. Memories I had when I was younger. Terrors I had with Robert. The future that I had with Dylan and Annabella. It all flashed before my eyes before it all faded away to black.
Beep, beep, beep
I opened my eyes. I was lying down and I was staring at the white, patterned ceiling of the hospital. I was hooked up to a bunch of wires and tubes and had a clear, plastic tube over my mouth and nose.
"Cassy?" Annabella whispered leaning over me. "You're awake."
