I buried my head further into Treyven's shoulder and cried. I could hear small footsteps coming my way but I didn't bother to use any of the little energy I had left to lift my head.
"I can't take anymore bad news," I whispered into Treyven's shoulder, "why does this have to happen to me."
"It's ok, Lea, you know that everything that happens always ends in a good way. Even if the most horrible things happen," Treyven whispered. I didn't reply, my brain wouldn't form the words, it wouldn't process anything.
"Where Cassandra?" Holly asked.
"She's at the pack hospital. She...," he stopped suddenly and his arms that were so tight around me, loosened.
"She what," I asked pulling away.
"No one knows when she'll wake up, but she won't die, Lea, I promise," Treyven whispered trying to pull me into a hug.
I sighed and lightly pushed him away. I didn't want any love and my all my tears were cried. "I'm going home," I whispered lowly.
"Don't go, Kalea," Annabella's voice yelled from behind me before hugging my waist tightly.
"Bell, I have to," I said lowly avoiding her eyes that I knew were filled with sorrow and sadness.
"No you don't please stay. I'll make it better," she cried. I looked down slowly at her and stared in confusion. Exactly like when she was in wolf form, one eye was a purple and the other a glowing red.
Stay calm or you'll irritate her wolf more
Vanessa mind linked me with much seriousness in her voice. No panic or nervousness in her voice, just like she always was.
"Ok, Bella, I'll stay. Where's your sister," I asked softly.
"The one that looks like Cassandra?" She asked, her eyes slowly changing back to its original color.
"Yes, that's Alessandra, your other sister," I said relieved.
"Oh," she said lowly before letting go of my waist. "So where is she?" I questioned again.
"She stayed back there with Daddy and Mommy. Daddy is hurt a lot but mommy was yelling at daddy so Al- Ally stayed to help," she replied barely audible.
Almost instantly, their mom, Alessandra, and her dad came walking over to us. "Hi, Sandra!" Hannah said running over to Cassandra's mom giving her a hug. "Where's Robert," Treyven asked.
"He... is now life less," Alessandra stated. Annabella's eyes got bigger and brighter. "Where is he?" She cried as if she was on the verge of tears.
"Come here, I know that you loved your daddy, Bella, bu-" her mom said kneeling beside Annabella but was interrupted.
"I don't care, where is Adonis?" Annabella stopped. No one answered, not knowing where he went either.
"Where's Adonis!" She yelled balling her tiny fists. Her voice got deeper, eyes glowed again, and she started to shake.
"We don't know, Bell," Jourdan said to her cautiously. Suddenly but expectedly Annabella got angrier as she looked to everyone one of us for an answer.
"Find him! Please," she cried, weakening by the second. Her anger turned into sadness as she cried.
"We will, Bell. Actually me, Kalea, and Treyven are about to look for him in the woods," Alessandra reassured quickly before grabbing me and Treyven and pulling us with her.
"What's wrong," Treyven questioned huskily but in a hushed tone. She blushed a little and her cheeks changed to a rosy but quickly regained her seriousness.
"Adonis is... Dead," she said sadly.
"How do you know," I gasped hoping Annabella wasn't around. I shut my eyes tight trying to stop the tears, I needed to keep my composure.
"I communicate with the dead, I can talk to everyone that is dead. I know where his body is, come on," she stated walking further into the woods.
She finally came to a stop and we stood silently in front of Adonis' body. He was pale and lifeless.
"How could Annabella cause so much trouble?" Treyven asked sadly. "She is such a sweet little girl. Some one or some thing has to be able to fix this."
"Wait!" Alessandra yelled, having a revelation, "stay here, I'm coming back." Alessandra sprinted back the way we came leaving us alone with Adonis' dead body.
"What are you thinking so hard about," I questioned Treyven kneeling down to Adonis. I rubbed his head lightly and sighed sympathetically.
"Check Adonis' body, check for any injuries," he demanded. I examined his body closely and didn't find any injury.
"There's nothing wrong with his body. He's perfectly healthy, he's never sick."
"Good, I hope this works," he sighed nervously.
"Hope what works?"
"Nothing, girl," he said scrunching his nose to his dirty finger nails. His perfect posture was now slouched and his glorious hair was a mess. The two things Treyven always had on point even in the most horrible situations.
"Kalea, Treyven?" Alessandra called in a panicking tone.
"Yea, we're here," I reassured. She emerged through the dark trees, frightened.
"I have help," she spoke softly, "but Annabella's gone."
