"So you ignored my threat?" Alia asked as she pulled me out of the family room. She reminded me so much of Robert. Her threats, her temper, and her devious ways made me wonder if she knew Robert.
"I can't stay away from my mate," I said with all honesty once we were in another room. She turned towards me and knocked me to the ground with a single blow my stomach.
"Look here, bitch!" She yelled but quickly calmed her voice, "That was your last chance, now since you wanna be stubborn, I'll get rid of you myself." She kicked me in the side and I responded with a loud groan. She laughed and swayed out of the room, leaving me on the floor as my eyes closed.
I pried myself off of the cold, hard floor and stumbled towards the door. I opened the door only to find a dark, silent house. You could heart the rain pounding on the outside of the dark house. I felt like I was thrown right into the middle of a scary movie. I was instantly hit with a wave of fear. When did it get dark?
I opened the door further and peeked out into the hallway. All of the doors were closed, but there was a tall, strong silhouette standing at one end of the hall. Next to it was another silhouette of what looked like a teen girl that was half the man's size. She had short hair that I saw stopped around her shoulders. She was familiar but I couldn't figure it out because my fear was blocking out any other thoughts.
At the other end of the hall was a shorter but still tall and strong silhouette of a man and next to him was a silhouette of a girl that was just a little shorter than he was. I was rooted to the ground on which I stood. My heart raced in panic as the torturous song rung through the hall way. I turned around and ran into a nearby door which lead to a bathroom. I looked at how pathetic and helpless I looked in the mirror. I sobbed and wept to my reflection as the song repeatedly started. I looked down at my hands and saw that they were shaking violently.
My panicking was quickly put to rest by someone's presence. I looked at the mirror again and saw the man. The familiar man, why is he everywhere? I looked into his eyes and the song slowly faded away.
"Who are you," I asked.
"You'll find out soon enough. First, you have to find that spark of courage in you to find the real meaning of the song and my identity."
"The meaning of the song?"
"Everything has a meaning and a reason for being. The song has a meaning and a reason for existing also," the man whispered.
"Now Cassandra, wake up," he said and slowly faded away into the dust.
I'm sleeping.
******
"Wake up!"
I opened my eyes to see Treyven standing in front of me. I leaned up and saw that everyone was around me staring. I was covered in layers of my own sweat and fear.
"Why were you screaming, baby cheeks?" Treyven asked rubbing my cheeks that he seemed to love.
"I had a nightmare," I replied.
"About what," Kalea asked, "because Annabella is having nightmares too. She says it's about you,"
"Where is she," I asked struggling to stand.
"She's in her room," Dylan replied softly. I walked past everyone and Dylan followed closely.
When I entered her room, Annabella was laying down. Her big, black har covering her face as she slept. Her soft snores filled the room as I silently walked towards her bed. Dylan grabbed my hand sweetly and squeezed it. I smirk at him and sit on the bed.
I watched her sleep until she started to stir in her bed.
"Caress her," Dylan said putting my hand on her stomach. The place she loves being rubbed the most. How did he know that?
I ignored the thought and rubbed her stomach softly. She stirred violently before she started to whimper.
"Annabella, wake up," Dylan whispered. As if on command, Annabella's eyes opened slowly.
"How do you do that?" I asked fascinated.
"Alpha trait," he smiled. I smiled and kissed his cheek softly but nervously.
"Cassandra, I'm having nightmares."
"About what, Blue Bell." She rubbed her eyes softly.
"Dad-"
"Are you guys, ok," Vanessa said running in and turning on the light. I squinted as I adjusted to the light.
"Yea, both of them are having weird nightmares. Cassandra was found in Treyven's room," Kalea answered following close behind.
"Ok, so I will just to run a few more tests on both of you since I'm already here," Vanessa said taking a small light out of her pocket. She flashed the light in my eye and examined it closely. She snaked her stethoscope up my shirt before moving swiftly over to Annabella. The room was silent and filled with anticipation.
"Cassandra, you have purple specks in your eyes and an irregular heartbeat. Annabella has purple specks in her eyes too, but her heartbeat is fine."
"I'm hungry as hell," Kalea mumbled.
"Lea, shut up," Dylan growled.
"Dill pickle, shut up," she mocked then rolled her eyes.
"Cassandra, I will assign you a professional therapist
weekly. You will see her first thing after you get out of school and training. I will inform you when you need to come see me again. Annabella, will see another therapist on a daily basis," Vanessa said to Dylan before walking out of the room swiftly.
Soooo this chapter was just a filler chapter. The next chapter will have a little of Annabella's P.O.V. But don't forget to vote and comment.
