I snuck Jayden out of my window after we were done discussing in detail about Annabella. Exhausted, I went outside to go for a much needed run. It was a beautiful day, the sun was beeming softly and the clouds resembled soft pillows. But too many things were running through my mind for me to enjoy its beauty.

I started undressing before I heard my Alpha's voice. "My love, we need to get you into immediate training," he demanded. stopping me from unstrapping my bra.

"But I wanted to go for a run," I pouted.

"After this training, I promise," he smiled widely. He was so possessive and demanding but so sweet and caring all at the same time. He demanded that I was his love and that made me feel safe. It was a weird type of safety though. It wasn't the safety that I felt when I was with my mom.

It was different.

"Fine. I thought you would want to see all of this," I giggled running my hands all over my body. I was a little surprised by the confidence I suddenly possessed. But I adored it. Power.

"Trust me, I want to," he said nibbling on my ear and growling. "But the training is mandatory."

"Ok," I sighed receptively, sliding my shirt back on.

"This is a mandatory training. Rookies will be taught by pros to help ensure that this plan is a success. This will guarantee that your soon-to-be Luna and a tiny, new member of our pack will be safe," Dylan announced eyeing me and Annabella lovingly. He was shirtless and only had on sweat pants. I bit my lip unknowingly staring at his body that had to be somehow carved by angels personally.

Everyone looked over at me with and then at Annabella who was being cradled by Dylan's dad- who's name I just found out was Dane- with loving smiles.

"Now, you are all in separate groups and will be trained by either me, Kalea, Elliot, Treyven, my dad, or our youngest fighter Emily," Dylan announced, "now everyone may begin."

Everyone that stood next to Dylan went to different groups of rookies. I kept a close eye on Annabella who was in the group with Dylan's dad. She stuck close to his side as Dane began to speak. When I pulled myself back into reality, I was standing alone and wasn't in any group. I looked around, a blush climbing up my cheeks, and watched as Dylan made his way towards me after leaving Treyven with his group.

"I...lost my group," I uttered toying with my skirt.

"It's ok," he chuckled, "you'll be in my group." He took my hand and led to me the end of the woods, far away from everyone else.

"Why are we alone? What about our group," I blushed.

"You need much more training than the other rookies do," he said. I gasped and hit him playfully, slightly offended.

"I'm doing a lot better if I do say so myself." I rolled my eyes as I followed him deeper into the forest. He laughed and nodded sarcastically. "Okay, Princess. Whatever you say."

"Ok so what am I gonna be taught?" I asked.

"You're gonna learn how to do one of the most easiest skills first, mind linking." I nodded pretty excited that I was learning this skill. "Then we will do a bit of combat training."

I nodded, smiling internally at being able to show Dylan how much I have learned in my combat skills.

"Okay so mind linking is easy, just think about who you want to mind link and then think it. For example..." He stopped and in an instant his voice rang through my head saying, "Now you try."
