"Gone where?" I asked frantically standing.

"I don't know," Alessandra said stomping her foot and resting her hand on her forehead. She groaned in frustration.

"Calm down, Ally," Treyven stated sweetly in her ear. She sighed and forced a small smile. Behind them, the trees started to sway, whistling a small tune, telling us that someone was coming.

Part of me hoped that Elliot or Dylan or even Daddy would materialize from these trees.

Causing my heart to sink, Cassandra's mom and Vanessa came from the trees instead. "Where's Jourdan?" I asked trying to hide the sadness in my words.

"Holly and Hannah brought her back to the pack house because her leg started to be in too much pain. But I hope it continues to hurt," Vanessa growls going to Adonis' body and looking over him closely.

"Calm down, Nessa," I said lowly.

"Ok, Sandra, you can come do it," Vanessa said backing away while Cassandra's mom proceeded.

"What is she gonna do," I asked quietly in Vanessa's ear.

"Sandra is a healer, she usually heals wounds but she agreed to try and start the heart again and restore life into the body. If this works, then we will be able to lure Annabella back because she'll sense her mate," she explained as we watched as Sandra leaned down and gently placed her hands on both sides of Adonis' chest.

We all watched in silence. She closed her eyes and whispered ever so quietly words that I guessed was a prayer to the moon goddess. Her hands started to glow an amethyst purple.
I watched in awe as Adonis' pale lifeless body slowly restored it's natural color. My eyes questioned themselves wondering if what they were seeing were true.

Adonis' resurrection sparked something in my heart and I had no idea what. All I knew was that big, fat drops of tears were rolling down my filthy face.

Finally, Sandra took her hands away from his chest and the beautiful purple glow faded. When the glow faded completely, Adonis' eyes opened slowly.

"Can you do this for anyone?" I asked curiously but eagerly.

"I need a stronger power to do it for people that are older. They require a stronger force to make the heart beat again." I sighed and let my head drop in disappointment.

"Adonis, are you ok? How do you feel?" Vanessa asked going to wrap Adonis in her arms as if all her anger at Jourdan melted away.

"I feel fine, but where's Annabella?" He said returning the hug.

"She's somewhere around here. She got away while we were caring for Jourdan and Vanessa who were yelling pointlessly at each order," Alessandra said nonchalantly looking around.

"How did you expect me to respond when she told me that. I feel so... Betrayed," Vanessa said into Adonis' shoulder. Once she noticed who she was crying to, she pulled away quickly and gave Adonis a brief "sorry."

"What happened," Treyven asked in confusion.

"When we were younger, me and Jay never knew our father. All we knew was that he was African American and he was tall. While we were all looking for Adonis, me and Jourdan saw-"

"Adonis?" Annabella's voice whispered from between a few trees, interrupting Vanessa.

"Come on, Bella," Sandra encouraged, "he's right here." Annabella slowly walked from behind one of the huge trees, now fully clothed.

"Bella, are you ok? What's wrong with you?" Adonis asked backing away from Annabella.

"Something's wrong with me. I don't know what is inside of me. Help," she pleaded.

"We don't know-," Treyven started but stopped mid-sentence and sighed lying his head onto Alessandra's shoulder. I unknowingly scowled at them and folded my arms across my chest.

"Vanessa? Do you have any idea," I asked looking over Annabella's trembling body.

"Well I do have one idea. As you can see by her eyes, the wolf hasn't fully settled inside of her. So if we can find a way to lure the wolf out, she'll be cured. But we have to do this quickly before it settles entirely. So let's go find Jourdan."

We wandered back through the woods to the large field. Adonis held Annabella's hand lightly calming her whenever she would get angered by something. Treyven walked closely behind Alessandra clearly trying to protect her.

I instantly started to adore and envy them. I started wishing Elliot was walking next me, protecting me, holding me. When we got to the field, no bodies were on the ground. I started panicking, searching frantically.

"Calm down, Lea," I called a few of the people to come bring everyone to the pack doctor. They're in great care," Vanessa reassured.

"I want to see them," I said eagerly.

"You will, once we get Annabella to Jourdan," Vanessa said leading us across the field.

"I'm hoping this goes as planned," I huffed walking a little faster.

I hope you wake up soon, Dylan. I know Cassandra is counting on you.

"Jay! Jay!" Vanessa called through the pack house. The sky was darkening outside and the more it darkened the more worried I was about everyone.

"Vanessa! Where's my baby?" My mom said running from the kitchen to wrap me in her arms. "Oh, Kalea, I thought you had died too," my mom said. Her eyes were red and her hair was messy.

"Have you been crying mom?" I asked sympathetically.

"Of course not. I'm the former Luna, I don't cry. Alphas-" she stopped and buried her face in her hands. "I have to go," she whispered turning to leave. "Jourdan is in your room resting, Vanessa,"she commented before going upstairs.

"I feel so sorry for her. That's her mate, her Alpha, her everything," Treyven sighed holding Alessandra's hand tighter.

Annabella growled, she started to shake and her eyes were glowing again. Adonis squeezed her hand but she continued to shake more violently .

"Come on, we need to get her to Annabella quickly," Vanessa said pulling Annabella up the stairs.

When she finally reached her room, she pushed opened the door and revealed a sleeping Jourdan.

"Jay, wake up!" Vanessa said going to shake Jourdan.

"What, Nessa?" She groaned groggily.

"Do me a favor, look into Annabella's eyes."

"Why?"

"You're getting your wolf back."
