Busy. I'm so fucking busy. I feel like there's a lot to learn and a lot to do. My mind is so full right now. Tama nga ang sabi nila. The previous days were the calm before the storm.
Now is the storm.
And I love it.
"Delivery guys!" I heard Mimi scream pero mukhang wala namang nakakarinig or maybe the people were too focused on other stuff. I wanted to look but my eyes were locked on Kath's sketch. I need to figure out what type of fabric is for this gorgeous sketch. I was told it needs to be light and... almost cloud-like. I just-
"Food delivery is here!" It was like my head turned on its own when it heard the word. Akala ko ay ako lang but all eyes are on Mimi right now pati na din sa dala niyang tatlong kahon ng pizza.
I didn't know I was starving until I heard the word food. Heck, I didn't even know it was lunchtime. I looked at the time, it was already three. It's almost dinner time, apparently.
"Ayan-ayan, sabi na nga ba. Lilingon din kayo."
Rio walked towards Mimi without saying a word at binuksan ang isang box. We just speechlessly looked at her while she munched on that slice of pizza na para bang nasa isang advertisement.
"Mag thank you ka naman!" Mimi said... or it was more of a scream.
"Ikaw ba may bigay ha?"
"Magsitigil nga kayo," Miss Hill also joined them.
"Kain ka ng madami, Madam."
Parang gusto ko na ding lumapit and eat. I was busy but now, I'm just starving.
"Ayaw mong kumain?"
I immediately stood when Miss Hill talked to me. Parang natawa naman ang dalawa. Mukhang sanay na ata sa kasungitan ni Miss Hill. Not me. I'm still scared as shit.
I walked toward them and just peacefully grabbed a slice of pizza. Isa-isa na ding tumigil ang iba sa ginagawa nila. Wow, seems like this place is filled with workaholics.
"Psst," Mimi called Atlas. He's a part of the team but I have not really talked to him much. He's one of those silent types. "Halika nga dito."
He walked towards us. It's only me, Mimi and Rio at one of the tables.
"Hatid mo kay Kathea."
"Bakit ako?" He asked pero tinanggap naman ang box na binigay ni Rio.
"Parehas kasi kayong di kakain pag di hinahatidan ng pagkain. Sige na. Wala masyadong tanong pag ikaw naghahatid." He still didn't move and glared at Mimi. Gusto kong matawa sa reaksyon niya. Well, he's cute... the hot kind. Kind of my type but- nope, not here, Zahara. Not at your fucking workplace. "Please. Please po, Ginoong Atlas Joaquin Ibarra."
He just sighed and walked out. The two ladies giggled.
"Gwapo talaga nun," bulong pa ni Rio.
I smiled. Apparently, I'm not the only one crushing on Atlas Joaquin Ibarra. What a name.
"Crush mo din?" Mimi raised her eyebrows while looking at me. I was about to answer when Atlas came out of the office. He was now eating a piece of pizza, galing siguro doon sa hinatid niya. We were just silent as he walked past us and went back to his desk.
"'Di ka nag-iisa," Rio sighed dreamily. "Napaka-saya talaga ng trabaho natin. Araw-araw natin nakikita si Atlas tapos paminsan-minsan, nasusulyapan natin si Sir Phoenix."
Napa-ubo ako sa sinabi niya. Good Lord, I was caught off-guard. It seems like the two didn't notice my... indifference. I just pretended not to be curious about him. I was. I know Phoenix but I don't know him and it's confusing but fucking better that way.
