Samuel reminded to himself quietly that this was a thing typical teenage boys do. They learn how to kiss from their more experienced friends then use the abilities on pretty girls. Perfectly normal.

He knocked softly on Charles' door, hoping he wasn't there and they could just skip the whole thing. Charles had kissed plenty of women, all 3 Schuyler sisters, Maria as an experiment for her, and even Aaron's girlfriend before she dated Aaron. At the very least, he knew how to fake along kissing.

Just as Samuel had dreaded, the door opened, revealing a half asleep, and frankly, half dressed Charles.

"Shit, I nearly forgot, hang on," Charles said as he let Samuel in. He ran up the stairs and came back a few moments later, wearing a shirt, backwards.

"Your shirt's backwards," Samuel pointed out with a small laugh. Charles grumbled a little and fixed his shirt.

"So, anyway, how do you want to start? Like, do you want to know how to initiate the kiss too? Or just how to kiss?" Charles asked.

"If you don't mind.... I'd like to know how to start it," Samuel muttered, "Can we try it on each other- I-I mean- It might feel more natural on another person-" Samuel started louder than he intended. He blushed and hid his face in his hands.

"Are you sure? I'm pretty... queer and I know some guys would rather practice with straight guys-" Charles said. Samuel nodded, he was questioning his own sexuality, but he wouldn't say that. He moved so that he was about a foot away from Charles, but apparently that was too much. Charles moved closer so their knees are touching.

"First thing, get close, don't be scared," Charles said. Samuel leaned a little closer. He could feel Charles breath, and he was sure Charles could feel his.

"Now, be gentle with the touching. Like holding their cheek, or brushing hair out of their face," Charles said. With each word, a little puff of breath met Samuel's face, making him blush a bit. He saw a loose strand of Charles' hair and combed it behind his ear then letting his hand move down to his jawline carefully.

"Like that?" he asked, focused on what his hand was doing. Charles used his index finger to tilt Samuel's chin up and make their eyes meet.

"Keep eye contact, it's supposed to be romantic and intimate. But yes, do something like that," Charles said. Samuel realized how much closer they were and his breathing hitched a little.

"Just kiss how it feels natural. There's no one way to kiss, though you might want to keep it simple for the first time," Charles said. Samuel leaned in for the kiss then quickly pulled back. He took his hands down to Charles' shoulders and let them trail down his arms as he backed away.

"Like that?" he asked again, feeling flustered. He looked at Charles, who was blushing like crazy and staring at the wall.

"Uh- that was kind of short- Maybe we should try again so I-I can be sure," Charles said. Samuel pouted, maybe he wasn't that good. He moved back closer to Charles and redid most of his movements until it came time to kiss again. He hesitated, waiting for some hint of how to do it right.

"Just go in, and don't be scared," Charles said softly. Samuel went in and didn't pull away. He felt Charles' arms hold the small of his back as his arms moved to around Charles' neck. Something about this one felt better. Like he was floating away. He felt Charles start to tug away, so he did too. Samuel didn't back away this time, he just rested his forehead on Charles' and smiled a little.

"Was that good?" he asked.

"Perfect," was all Charles seemed to be able to muster out. His face was bright red. Samuel felt breathless, yet he laid another kiss on Charles' lips. He didn't linger long, it was nothing more than a peck, but he felt Charles' arms run across his sides. He let his arms drop, carefully letting them rest in his lap. Perfect day, perfect kiss.
