Samuel stomped off, wiping the tears from his face. He couldn't believe that Alexander even had the dignity to bark at him and ask him what it meant in dog.

Samuel ran into the staircase at the end of the hall. No one really used those stairs as the main stairs were just a few classrooms away. In an attempt to mute the reverberating phrase from Alexander, Samuel placed his earbuds in and selected a random song from his playlist.

"As I walk through the streets of my new city
My back feeling much better, I suppose"

Samuel leaned against the wall and hummed along to the tune. He wasn't particularly a fan of this type of music, Charles must've added a playlist when he wasn't paying attention. He didn't care, he just wanted something to fill his head. Sure enough, the playlist was titled "Songs you should hear - from Charles". Samuel rolled his eyes, he loved his best friend, but sometimes his favorite songs seemed to hit pretty close to home.

"Who the fuck are you?" someone said, scaring Samuel. Samuel jumped, losing one of his earbuds.

"I could ask you the same thing," Samuel said, flattening his shirt. He stared at the girl standing in front of him.

"I'm Peggy, who are you?" the girl asked, looking Samuel over. The name clicked in Samuel's mind quickly, she was one of the Schuyler sisters. They were like the Heathers of their school. Always intimidating to talk to, they had boys wrapped around their fingers.

"Samuel, I'm sorry, I'll go-" Samuel said, starting to walk off quickly. The late bell rang and Samuel panicked internally. His class was on the other side of the school and he wasn't the type of person to run in a school.

"Wait! Aren't you the nerd Alex makes fun of a lot?" Peggy asked. Samuel sucked in a breath and checked the time quickly.

"Yeah... I guess. I need to get to class," Samuel said, starting to go upstairs.

"You're already late, just skip!" Peggy said loudly.

"Skip? I've never done that..." Samuel muttered, not looking at Peggy.

"Great day to start then, huh?" Peggy asked, tugging Samuel's scarf so he faced her.

"What? I could never!" Samuel said, completely astonished. His phone buzzed, and he checked it, seeing a message from Charles.

if you dont hurry the fuck up, im pairing with kingsley, and i hope you see the issue

Samuel laughed a bit, Charles had the biggest crush on George Kingsley and couldn't be around him without being blushy and giggly.

"Are ya staying?" Peggy asked, looking at Samuel.

"...I guess it wouldn't hurt," Samuel said, hoping Charles wouldn't be too upset. He sat on the first stair, completing unsure what to do. Peggy pulled him up and led him around the school, to be sure they weren't going to be caught. The bell rang and Samuel's body was pumped with the excitement of the class time spent running around. The next period was their lunch, so they headed to the lunchroom together. Samuel sat in his usual spot, a table meant for 4 people, and Peggy sat right next to him.

"SAMUEL SEABURY, WHAT THE FUCK?!" Charles called through the cafeteria, gaining plenty of attention to the two. If the Schuylers were the Heathers, Charles could pass as the school's J.D.. Minus the murder and manipulation, and way gayer.

"What the hell are you looking at? Go eat your damned food," Charles said when he felt the eyes on him. Samuel sunk into his seat as Charles flopped into the chair right across from him.

"I can't believe you missed class, where were you? I had to tell Adams you were sick, you know I'd turn the fucking planet over for you, but I need a reason for it," Charles said all at once. Samuel couldn't help but laugh at his reaction. Charles hadn't noticed Peggy there.

"Well, I... skipped class," Samuel muttered, looking at the table.

"Oh. My. God, Samuel Seabury? My innocent best friend? Skipping class? On the day where we had to choose our class par- holy shit, is that Peggy Schuyler? What did you do?!" Charles asked, clearly in shock.

"Well, uh, I actually skipped because of Peggy..." Samuel admitted.

"Normally, I'd be pissed about you choosing a girl over me, but I remember that you're so fucking het it's almost funny. Anyway, George and I are on our way to getting married," Charles said.

"What did you do? Talk to him without giggling?" Samuel said sarcastically.

"Yes. I asked him on a date without being flustered," Charles said. He said it in a way that Samuel couldn't tell if it was sarcasm or not. Charles waved someone over and George sat in the only free seat available.

"We're married now, okay? I'm taking your last name," Charles said, laughing a bit.

"My last name is too complex, we can use yours," George said, softly. Samuel rolled his eyes, Charles was already getting giggly around George.

"Peggy, I didn't know you were in a relationship," George said once he decided that Charles was flustered enough.

"I'm not?" Peggy said, looking confused.

"Really? You and Samuel seem like such a great couple. Bad girl and teacher's pet boy," George said with a shrug. Samuel looked down and buried his face in his arms.
