AUTHOR'S NOTE: This chapter tells the events leading up to a huge event all told from 5 main character's points of view until the final piece falls into place to explain how it all happened.
*JADEN'S POV*
Jaden: *screaming* "Amelie!! Are you okay?"
He pushed past Griffin while screaming: "What tf happened in here?"
Griffin: "I came in and she was with Josh. They drank... a lot, I guess."
Jaden: "No. Amelie doesn't drink. Josh had to force her."
Griffin shrugged his shoulders as Amelie started to come to: "No, baby, no. Josh did- it was my idea to do shots with him."
Jaden: "That's it. He's a dead man!"
Before Amelie could gather her thoughts to correct his, Jaden was already out the door and racing to find Josh.
*YOUR POV*
Your friends had been gone for hours and you didn't know if it was guilt for ditching them or fear of missing out that was tugging at your heart strings.
You texted Jaden but he hadn't even read it much less responded. His car was still out front but last time you'd driven it without asking, he was furious. You took a deep breath and grabbed the keys anyway knowing if you didn't leave now, you'd lose your nerve.
You were going to have to see Josh eventually, anyway. Tonight might as well be the night. Plus there was a chance you were overreacting and he wouldn't even be there. You had to park nearly 2 blocks from the house there were so many people at the party, but as you climbed out of the car you realized you'd forgotten your phone back on the table.

*JOSH'S POV*
He knew he couldn't drive with how blurry his vision was but he was determined to find her. He wanted to take back everything he'd ever said to hurt her before he sobered up and lost his nerve. He tried to call her several times but everytime he heard her voicemail the tension in his chest worsened. He opened up the Uber app determined to get there when suddenly something from behind knocked his phone to the ground.
Jaden: "You got my girlfriend drunk? I swear to God if you touched her!!!"
Josh: "You're acting like a lunatic, dude."
Jaden responded by swinging wildly until he connected with Josh's chin again. Josh took one hit before tackling Jaden to the ground.
*AMELIE'S POV*
She rushed down the stairs trying to keep up with Griffin who'd chased after the boys. By the time she made it to the front door, he was long gone and she looked around for his jacket. His keys were still there so that was proof he couldn't have gone far.
Once she made it to the street, she'd forgotten the purpose of grabbing Griffin's keys and climbed into the car in a drunken confusion. Blake grabbed the door at the last moment as she started it.
Blake: *yelling*: "Amelie! What are you doing? You can't drive like this."
Amelie: *fighting the door* "I have to tell Jaden the truth before he hurts Josh."
*GRIFFIN'S POV*
He had run an entire block down the street before he finally came up on Jaden and Josh fighting on the grass between the sidewalk and the street. Bryce was fighting to pull them apart on his own until Josh accidentally backed up far enough to nearly fall into the street.
Bryce: "You two are idiots! Would you stop before one of you gets hit by a car!"
Griffin realized the dire need of the situation and raced as fast as his legs could carry him across the street. He paused when he saw her running from the opposite direction and yelled out: "Hurry!!"
She ran towards the brawl in a panic but the moment she hit the blacktop of the road, Griffin watched in horror as a car slammed into her body.
