You drove around for an hour before finally going home and facing reality. Jaden stormed out meeting you on the porch: "Wtf? You took my car and I had to call for an uber!"
You broke down in tears: "I'm so stupid. He kissed me and I just wanted everything to finally work-"
Jaden: "If he hurt you, he's done for!"
You: "He didn't touch me. That's the whole problem. I gave him an ultimatum to tell me something real... good or bad... and he froze."
Amelie pushed past him shaking her head and helped you into the house to comfort you.
*JADEN'S POV*
The next day at practice, he was still heated and looking for a fight. His sister had begged him not to hurt Josh but Jaden knew the moment he laid eyes on him and he flashed that cocky smile, it'd be over. When he jogged into the court because he was a few minutes late, Coach was already lecturing the boys.
Coach: "We are too late in the season for this nonsense. Jaden, you owe me laps, and where the hell is Josh?"
Noah: "I think he is sick-"
Coach: "Every practice counts if you're gonna be a championship team. I want all of you out of my face and don't come back until you're ALL here prepared to work."
*END JADEN'S POV*
*NOAH'S POV*
Noah knocked on Josh's door louder because the music was definitely too loud to have heard it the first time. Nessa opened the door and hung her head as she tried to sneak out.

Noah: "Is he drunk again?"
Nessa: "Again? Still? Who knows. He called me for the first time in weeks and asked me to come over then was too drunk to even speak much less hook up again."
Noah: "Thanks, Ness. I got it from here. "
He shook Josh until he was awake enough to argue back: "You're gonna make me get sick, dude."
Noah: "Yeah, well that's nothing compared to what coach is gonna put you thru when you finally show up to practi-"
His warning was interrupted by Jaden shoving his way into Josh's room and shoving him back to the floor.
Jaden: "It's not enough you ruin your own life, but if you think you're gonna take my sister down with you? You got another thing coming!"
Josh: "Why do you think I let her leave?"
Jaden shoved Josh back again because the truth was he was too angry to be reasoned with at that point.
Noah: "Jaden, man... you heard coach. We need togetherness right now."
Jaden: "He ruined any shot of that!"
He turned back to Josh again prepared to swing as he continued to rage: "I warned you to not TOUCH her unless you were gonna take it seriously."
Josh smirked: "You really shoulda given that speech before the first time... Or even the second."
Jaden threw himself into the hit that landed on Josh's jaw as Bryce rushed into the room and pulled them apart. Noah pushed into the space created between them and shouted: "Dudes! We are on the same team!"
Jaden wiped his jaw and spat at Josh: "The best thing that ever happened to her was finally being free of your bullshit. You're nothing but a loser."
Jaden pulled away from Bryce's grip and stormed out of the room.
