SONG: Nothing Choice by Fly By Midnight

AUTHOR'S NOTE: This is an extra long chapter because today was a spam day and included a much extended scene from what was posted on my tiktok.

Your seemed to race you to your door faster than Josh could keep up but when he did, he found you paused listening to the music pouring out from under the door.

You: “I can’t go in there.”

Josh: *putting two and two together*
“Are they in there- Like- Ohhhhhhh.”

You nodded and it brought laughter back in a way only he could as you watched him air dab up the door. You pushed him, playfully:
“Oh my God, you’re ridiculous. You know that?”

Josh: “You can come back to my room if you want and wait.”

You: “What about when your roommate comes back and wants his space back?”

Josh: “Jaden IS my roommate.”

Back in their room, Josh offered you an extra tee shirt and basketball shorts to change into but the shirt was long enough to wear as a nightgown.

He turned around to offer you privacy until you sat down on his bed fully changed

He turned around to offer you privacy until you sat down on his bed fully changed. You tried to run your fingers through your hair, knowing the chlorine would leave it a mess if you didn’t untangle it before it dried.

Josh: “Hold on. I brought a brush. My hair is finally long enough that my fingers aren’t cutting it.”

Instead of handing it to you, he sat behind you and started to gently brush your hair. He was way sweeter than you treated your own hair, but it felt so nice you just closed your eyes and let your imagination start to get away from you.

Josh: “Am I doing okay?”

You nodded your head, but changed the subject to something you’d been struggling to find an honest answer to:
“Do you think I’m dumb for forgiving Griffin?”
