Never Alone

Summary: Your home planet, Jotunheim was destroyed, leaving you the only First Giant to ever exist in the universe... at least, that's what you used to think.

You've always hated California. It's bright, sunny, dry, and there are too many people. In fact, you've always hated Midgard in general. Humans love to love, but you've learned that love is overrated. Family is overrated. In the end, you're always going to be alone. Couples, families of two, animal families, families with children, families with dogs, and just about everything else passes you by. They all have smiles on their faces, talking excitedly to one another.

You used to have family and friends. In fact, you used to have a whole community to turn to. Your life wasn't always easy, but at least you had the people you loved. There were good times and bad times, but you never would have traded it for anything in the world. Not many people liked your kind, but it didn't matter because you had your friends and family. It never mattered what the rest of the universe thought about your kind–they usually left you alone.

Your family was kind of poor, but you were happy with what you had. You always had what you needed even though it wasn't what you wanted. You were so happy until the big war happened.

Odin of Asgard declared war on your planet, Jotunheim. You're not sure why he did so, but you know a lot of lives were lost. With what people that did survive, they decided to stick together and form a much smaller community. Most of the planet was barren since the war took a lot of your people's lives. You and your friends loved to travel to those barren parts of the world just to see what was left behind during the war. You'd find amazing things sometimes, and other times, you'd only find empty caves and frozen lakes.

A lot was taken from your planet that day, but you still had your family to fall back on. If anything, it only made your people grow closer as a unit. Then, fifteen hundred years later, Thor Odinson declared unnecessary war on whoever was left. The rest of the planet was either burned, killed, or destroyed. You were cast into a world that was overrun by greed, disease, and destruction. Your entire family... gone because of the arrogance of one man.

Seeing all these families and couples reminds you of what was taken from you. You're the last Jotun in existence, so there is no one who will relate more to you, to have and to hold you, to comfort you when you're feeling down. Who would ever love a blue-skinned freak? If your family was taken from you, then you're going to take everyone else's families. If you can't have it, then no one can.

Storm clouds begin to roll in, shocking most people that see the rapid clouds. California hasn't seen rain in such a long time, and they're about to get a shit ton of water. From how fast the clouds came, people are rushing to get inside because they know that it will start pouring if not storming. You approach a bench and touch the back of it, using your powers to freeze the object. Ice crackles over the surface, racing down the side of it until it's frozen solid.

Instead of stopping at the base of the bench, the ice spreads on the concrete below it. The sidewalk is quickly covered in the substance, spreading rapidly through the city. To move it along, you touch everything you pass by–a stop sign, a parked car, a streetlight, and a few plants. The more things you touch, the more rapid the ice spreads. To top it all off, the storm grows bigger.

Your powers are nothing compared to what humans can comprehend, so you know you'll be able to send this planet into an eternal winter as you did to the past two. Without thunder or lightning (that's Thor's job), all you have left to go on is the rain. However, you've made the bustling city of California so cold that it starts to snow. It comes down lightly at first, but then it starts to pick up very quickly.
