This is the sixth time I have noticed her come in. She never talks to anyone, she always comes in at the same time every day, and she always picks up the same exact book every time. I'm not sure why she doesn't just buy it, or why she only stays for an hour each day, but I'm definitely intrigued to say the least.

I've been coming to this library just to get away from the exciting life of being an Avenger. It's quiet and calm here, and if I keep my head down low and not bother anyone, then I can usually get away with anonymity. It's been nice studying other people and determining what ails them. It's weird to look at other people's problems and wonder if yours outweigh theirs. I started off that way, but as soon as I saw her, all my thoughts were directed to her.

Who is she? What is her name? Where does she come from? Does she have a husband or a boyfriend? Girlfriend? Kids? Does she live in the city? Busy woman? I have so many questions about the beautiful stranger, but I'm hesitant to approach her. What if she doesn't want to talk to anyone? Maybe that's why she spends only an hour reading the same book.

Right on time, she walks into the library with her head down. She heads to the same section she always goes to and grabs the same book she always grabs. I gain this newfound sense of confidence, even if it's only for a couple of seconds, and I know I have to get to know her.

I get up and head over to her nonchalantly so she doesn't freak about a large man heading her way. She doesn't seem to notice me until I am standing right next to her. She pauses reading to look up at me. She's so much more beautiful in person, and her eyes seem brighter up close.

"Can I help you?" she asks.

Her voice is like silky honey, and I suddenly become nervous.

"I'm sorry, but I've noticed you've been coming in for the past week. You always seem to pick up the same book. I-I didn't mean to stare, but I think you're beautiful." Her cheeks darken from the compliment, but I keep going. "Would you like to go to coffee sometime? O-Or tea if you don't drink coffee."

"Um, sure," she smiles shyly.

"I'd like to buy that book for you."

"No, I can't ask you to do that."

"You're not asking, I'm offering," I smile nicely.

"I'm Y/N, by the way," she says, offering her hand for me to shake.

"Steve. It's nice to meet you."
