"I love you so much," you said to your best friend as you hugged her goodbye. She had visited you all the way from London where her husband was working. She was able to take time off from her work to come stay with you in New York a few weeks which had been the best. Now that it was time for her to go, you didn't want her too.

"I love you too. Don't worry, when I land, I'll call you and we can plan our next visit. Maybe you can stay a few weeks with me. I know you've been dying to see London."

"Yeah, that sounds like fun," you smiled as you two pulled apart.

"Ladies and gentlemen, flight 180 to London is now boarding. I repeat flight 180 is now ready to board. Thank you," the woman over the loudspeakers announced.

"Say hi to Daniel for me, yeah? And give my love to the kids."

"I will. It's been so nice catching up with you."

"Yeah. I'll see you soon, yeah?"

"Of course," she smiled before picking up her carry on. She walked to the gate and handed her boarding pass to the person who checked it. Once she was cleared, she walked to the bridge but turned to face you before she was gone for good. Blowing her a kiss, you watched her disappear.

"Great, time to go back to no one," you said to yourself as you turned around to leave. No boyfriend, no pets, it was just you in a big studio apartment. When you got the apartment, it was a steal since the tenants before you got permission to screwed it up so badly, you got a discount on the rent every month if you were to fix some of their problems for the landlord. It was hard work, but you did it.

About to head back to your car, you heard a familiar voice curse and the sound of a phone slamming on the receiver. No one seemed to notice the man except for you; the airport was pretty much empty save for the few bunches getting on a red eye. Looking at the man, he turned around and you gasped. Chris Evans was less than 100 feet away from you, one of your favorite actors. He had luggage with him, and judging by his facial features, his flight might have been delayed.

He kept his sunglasses on as to not raise suspicion about who he was before taking a seat in an empty gate. A big part of you wanted to go over to him and ask for a picture, but even with his glasses on, you could see how tired he was. Deciding to handle this situation delicately, you slowly walked over to him before taking a seat a few down from him.

"Flight got delayed?" you asked as you looked at him. He ran a hand through his hair before nodded.

"Yeah. They say I'll have to wait until late morning."

"Nowhere to stay? It's New York."

"Exactly, but all the hotels around here are booked. I'd rather not drive an hour or so away from here."

"Well, I just dropped off my friend, and I live pretty close," you trailed off. He chuckled and looked at you without taking his glasses off.

"Do you know who I am? You're just going to offer a stranger back to your apartment?"

"You're Chris Evans. Sunglasses don't magically conceal your identity. Plus, it's almost 10 pm, you look weird for having sunglasses on at night."

"Point taken," he laughed as he removed them, glad that no one else was paying attention to him. "But, you still don't know me."

"True, I don't, but I have seen every interview you've done. I'm just a big fan of your work. I may not know you, but I have a pretty good idea. You won't murder me in my sleep? Take my things and go?"

"No, and no," he smiled.

"Then come on, I'd be happy to let you stay the night. I live, like, 15 minutes from here," you declared as you got up.

"You're not freaking out over me?" he asked as he got up and followed you with his things.

"Come on, you look exhausted. Another thing you need is a crazy girl fawning over you."

"Thanks, uh what's your name?"

"Y/N, it's nice to meet you," you introduced yourself as the two of you shook hands.

Once back to your apartment, you turned on the lights and set down your keys as Chris looked around.

"Wow, nice place."

"Thanks. The rent is super cheap since this place was totally broken when I moved in. If I fixed it up myself, the rent would cut more than half. Couldn't pass that up," you explained as you got sheets, a blanket, and a pillow to lay down on the couch.

"Thanks again for doing this for me. I hope I'm not intruding on a husband or a boyfriend?"

"Nope, it's just me," you said as you fixed the couch. Once finished, you placed the blanket and pillow on it before pointing to the bathroom. "Bathroom is over there. What time if your flight?"

"10 am if that's alright?"

"Yeah, I don't have anything to do tomorrow. So, I'll let you get settled in then," you chuckled nervously before sitting on the love seat next to the couch. Chris dug through his bag before taking out his pajamas and headed over to the bathroom. Chris fucking Evans was inside your apartment, what the hell did you do? Wait until Brittany hears about this.

The night went by smoothly, and you set your alarm for 7 am so that you could at least cook something for Chris when he wakes up. Quickly turning off your alarm, you got out of bed before quietly walking out of your room. Chris was still asleep on the couch, and he snored lightly which made you smile.

Hoping you weren't going to wake him, you walked to the kitchen and started breakfast. Deciding on something simple, you took out eggs and bacon since everyone loved bacon, and some pieces of toast to go with it. Before you could start the bacon, Chris yawned and stretched, opening his eyes.

"Hey, you sleep well?" you asked as you walked over to him. He crossed his arms and gave you a tired smile. "I hope you're hungry, I am making eggs, bacon, and toast."

"You don't have to do that," he said as he got up, wiping the sleep from his eyes.

"I know, but I'm hungry, and I wasn't going to make food just for me. We should leave around 8:30 if you want to make that flight of yours," you said as you walked back to the kitchen to start the food. Chris stared at you as you walked away, and a smile found its way onto his face. He never knew someone who was this genuine to strangers, even if he was famous. He thought you were incredibly beautiful and was surprised when you offered your place for him.

"So, where are you headed? Back home?" you asked, hoping you weren't being too nosy.

"Yeah, but we're doing Endgame interviews and stuff first," he explained as he got his things and headed to the bathroom.

"Oh, exciting," you chuckled. Chris was ready in less than a half-hour, and by that time, you were also done with the food. "There you go."

"Thank you," he said as he took a bite of your eggs. "Man, this is delicious!"

"Secret recipe," you whispered with a wink as you ate yours. Chris laughed and made small conversation with you, thinking of ways to get your number. He really liked you and was sad that he had to leave after just getting to know you. There is one thing he knew for sure, the next time he is in New York, he is definitely giving you a call.
