"Okay, try and act like an adult this time, yeah?" you said to your boyfriend as you entered the fifth mattress store that week.

"What are you talking about?" Tom laughed.

"Tom, these mattresses are here for people to look at and buy. They are here for people to lay on gently to see if it's the one they want. They are not here to be played with, do you understand?"

"God, you sound like my mom."

"Excuse me?" you scoffed playfully. "I happen to think your mom is amazing. That is a compliment."

"Fine, I'll behave," Tom rolled his eyes as he looked at the rows of mattresses.

"Hello, can I help you find something today?" a female saleswoman asked with a smile.

"No, we're just looking. Thank you though," you smiled.

"Well, let me know if there is anything I can do for you, any questions you might have."

"We will, thanks," Tom said before pulling you away from her. Tom has always been an energetic type, even when he was young. He saw the bright side of things, and always tried to make the most out of every situation. When it rains, he saw it as an opportunity to splash the puddles, when it snowed, he made a snowman, when he got stuck at an airport because of a delayed flight, he played fun games with the other passengers. He could turn almost any trip into an adventure.

With that being said, there are times where his love for games should not be played. A mattress store is one of them. You two have been looking for a new mattress since your current one broke. Too many years just really did a number on it, and it was time to get a new one.

So far, you have visited ten different mattress stores, and you have found not one that you liked. Tom wasn't really a picky person, so he was just here for moral support. Plus, he had the money that will be used to pay for the thing.

"Which one do you want, darling?" Tom asked, running his hand over one of them.

"I was thinking memory foam because my mom has one, and she keeps telling me how great her back feels on it, but I feel like they're too expensive."

"Y/N don't worry about money. You get whatever one you like and let me worry about the spending."

"You know, people might think I'm dating you for your money," you chuckled.

"Well, they aren't wrong," he joked, causing you to playfully hit his chest. Tom scanned the store before eyeing a particularly big mattress. He knew he was supposed to behave, but something just called out in him to jump on it. If he was going to do it, you were going to do it with him.

He grabbed your hand to make it think he just wanted to hold your hand, but when he came closer to the mattress, he ran and jumped, bringing you with him. Letting out a cry of surprise, you fell onto the cushion.

"Thomas, we are going to get in trouble" you scolded him.

"That's the fun in it," he laughed. Knowing this would happen, you just decided to play along, and you moved your gaze to the pillow right above his head. Thinking fast you grabbed the soft item before slamming it down on his head. For about a minute, the two of you stared into each other's eyes.

As time went on, you could see the mischievous look spread across his face. You have started a war, and you needed to run. Scrambling to get up, you jumped off the bed before making a run for it, dodging between the mattresses to somehow make it harder for him to catch you.

All the time you spent knowing and dating him, and you forgot what a master he is in gymnastics. Jumping from one bed to the other, he flipped in the air before landing expertly on one. The customers in the store watched as he did a few more flips before landing on his feet. There was only one mattress separating the two of you, and he did one final flip over the mattress before tackling you to the ground.

Laughing, you landed with a grunt as you broke his fall with your body. Pushing his body off yours, you tried to crawl away from him, but he grabbed your ankles and pulled you right back into him.

"Sir, ma'am," a deep voice said. Both you and Tom froze as you looked up at a man in a dark suit.

"Yes?" you asked in a small voice.

"I am going to have to ask you to leave. You're causing a disturbance among the other customers."

"Damn it, Tom," you muttered as the two of you got up.

"We'll leave," your boyfriend said as the two of you left.

"I might just take Harrison with me next time. This is the eleventh store we've been kicked out of because of you," you groaned, not exactly mad at him. It's his childish personality that made you fall in love with him.
