Family Road Trip

Emma was cooking for family lunch in the kitchen smiling seeing Killian playing with both Hope and Henry in the living room. Her iPhone rings from an unknown number, Emma answers it. "Hello?"
"Hi, is this Emma? Emma Swan-Jones?"
"Yes, this is she speaking. Who am I speaking to?" Killian sees his swan on the phone and goes to his wife. "Emma...My name is David Nolan. I am your biological Dad."
Emma was surprised. "You...you are my Dad?" Killian sits next to his swan and holds her hand.
"Yes, I am. I found your number on the website where Allison contacted me."
Allison was the one who put our information in the email sent to you. We were both looking for you and Mom."
"Have you spoken to your Mom? I have not spoken to her when she told me she was pregnant with you. We were planning on running away from her awful father who used to beat her. We wanted to get married. We wanted to keep you. Then your Mom was gone..."
"Allison and I and our families went to Italy to meet Mom."
"She lives in Italy?"
"Yes. We emailed her through the same website. Allison and our families went to Italy to meet her two months ago. She told us when she was sent to the mother and baby home, she had us both. After she gave birth to me, her father shipped her off to Italy and forced her to be a nun. She asked about you. She wants to find you."
"Can you help me get in contact with her?"
"Of course! She has been in the convent for 28 years. She wants to leave."
"I will call her."
"Allison and I want her home so she can close us. We both live in Queens, New York. Where do you live?"
"I live in Connecticut, not too far from New York."
"Connecticut is not too far drive compare to Italy."
"I have my own farm."
"You are a farmer."
"Yes, I am."
"That is awesome."
Henry holds his sister's hand as they walk into the kitchen. "Mommy."
"Mommy is on the phone, little sis."
"Mommy!"Hope walks over to her Mommy. "Mommy!"
"Dad, hold on." She puts Hope on her lap. "Hope, Mommy is on the phone with her Daddy." She puts him on speaker. "Dad, you are on the speaker. My husband Killian and I, have two children, Henry, who is 6 years old, and Hope who is 10 months old."
"I have two grandchildren."
"You have three. Allison and her husband Ted have a son named Connor, he is 13 months old."
"Two grandsons and a granddaughter." Hope babbles.
"Killian, do you want to meet my Dad?"
"Aye, I would love, too." he gets the iPhone from his wife. "Hello."
"Hi, Killian. You are my son-in-law?"
"Yes, I am."
"You can call me Dad." Emma smiles as she hugs Hope. They continue to talk.
"Dad is that your long-lost Dad?"
"Yes, Henry. I never met him until now on the phone."
Henry hugs his Mom. "I do not know my Dad."
Emma hugs her son. "You have Killian, he is your Dad."
"I know, Mom."
"I want to talk to my grandchildren."
"Aye, yes you can. Henry."
Henry gets the iPhone from his Dad. "Hi, Gramps!"
"Hi, Henry!"
"I am 6 years old. I am living with Mom and Dad for a little while now. They are going to adopt me."
"That is amazing Henry"
"Yes! Hope is the best baby sis ever. Hope say hi to gramps, Mommy's daddy." Hope babbles.
"Hi, Hope. do you and Henry want to see my farm full of animals?" Hope babbles.
"Gramps, Hope is saying animals and a farm awesome!!"
"It is up to your Mom."
"Mom, please!"
Emma chuckles as she gets her iPhone back from her son. "Dad, I will talk to Allison. We need to plan a family weekend to come to visit you." Allison enters the house. "Actually, Allison is here. Allison! Our Dad is on the phone!"
"I got the voicemail at work and came straight here."
"Here is our Dad."
"Hi, Dad."
"Hi, Allison!"
"Hi..." Allison began crying. Killian takes Hope so Emma can hug her sister. "I...I didn't know I was adopted until I met Emma. We met...in a hospital room, we shared. We became best friends. She met my son Connor first. I am a doctor. I delivered Hope at their house for an unplanned home birth. After Hope was born, my adopted Mom told me about my adoption."
"You never knew?"
"No. I had no idea. My adopted parents knew about Emma..." She cried more.
"Al, it is okay." Allison hugs her sister.
"Dad, I want to meet you."
"I want to meet both of my girls. I want you all to come to my farm."
Emma gets the phone from her sister. "Dad, Allison and I would love to come to your farm. Your grandchildren would want to meet your animals."
"When are you free to come over?"
"Swan, my next day off is this Saturday."
"A trip to Connecticut?"
"Aye, yes."
"Allison?"
"Ted and I are both free Saturday"
"Dad, we are coming on Saturday."
"Great. I will text you my address. I will see my two girls this weekend. You are all welcome to stay over."
"We will love that, Dad." Their phone conversation ended.
Emma and Allison hugged. "We are going to meet our dad!"
"Yes, we are, Emma!" They both squealed with joy.
Killian holding Hope while smiling at his wife happily seeing his swan so happy. "Hope, you are going to meet your grandpa."
"Little sis, we are going to call him gramps." Hope smiles and reaches out for brother. "Dad, Hope wants me." Killian gives Hope to Henry. "Little sis, do you want to play?"
"Mommy!"
"Mommy is hugging Auntie Allison, little sis. Mommy and Auntie are going to meet their Daddy this weekend."
"Emma, this is really happening? We are going to meet our Dad"
"Yes, we are! This time we just need to drive not an airplane!" They hug. Hope goes to her Mommy. Emma holds Hope onto her hip. "Hopey, Mommy is going to meet her Daddy."
"Dada!" Hope points at her Daddy. Everyone laughs.
"Dada is your Daddy."
They hear the door, Ted and Connor arrived. Connor walked into the kitchen. "Mama!"
"My baby boy come here!" Allison kneeled down as her son runs to her. She scooped Connor in her arms. "Connor!"
"Mama!" Connor babbles.
Henry hugs Killian. "Henry, this is your Uncle Ted. Ted, this is my son Henry."
"Hi, Henry. I am finally meeting you. Allison told me all about you."
"Hi, Ted." Henry was still hugging Killian.
"Lad, everything is okay, son."
"Mom and Aunt Allison are very excited."
"Aye, yes they are." He hugs his son.
Ted was confused. "Allison, what is going on?"
Allison walked over to her husband holding her son on her hip. "I had a voicemail at work from my Dad. When I came here, Emma was on the phone with him. Our dad lives in Connecticut. He wants to meet us."
Ted smiles big."Allison that is great!!"
"Since Killian, you, and I are off this weekend, we told our Daad that we will come visit him on his farm."
Ted smiles. "We are going to Connecticut!" Allison squeals and hugs her husband. Connor babbles. "Connor, we are going to meet Mommy's daddy, your Grandpa."
"Em-em."
Allison and Emma both smile."Yes, Auntie Emma is coming with us."
"Little man, I am coming to meet Grandpa. Also, Uncle Killian, Hope and Henry." Connor points at Henry. "Yes, Henry is coming with us." Connor clapped his hands.
"Little cuz, do you want to play with me?" Connor reaches out for Henry. "Yes, you do."
"Connor, have fun with Henry." She gives her son to Henry.
"Allison, our sons are close."
"Yes, he always have fun with Henry. He loves both of his cousins." Hope babbles. "Hope!"
She holds her niece. "You are my cute little niece!" Hope hugs Allison and babbles.
Killian hugs his swan. "Killian, I am going to meet my Dad."
"Yes, you are love. You are going to have me, Hope, Allison, Ted, Connor and Henry all with you."
"Yes, our family is complete before meeting my Dad."
"That is right, love. Our family is complete." They kiss.
"Emma, should we tell Mom that we are meeting Dad?"
"I think we should."
"I can call her."
"Swan, does your Mom know about Henry?"
"On our last phone call, I did tell her we were adopting."
"Emma..."
"Before and after Henry came, it has been very busy."
"Swan, I told Mom."
"You did?"
"Yes. Your Mom called me when I was at my layover wanting an update on her daughter. I told her we were busy on the adoption process. She was very happy that we were adopting, love." She hugs Killian.
"I also told her too."
"You too?"
"Yes. Are you mad?"
"No, I am not." She hugs her sister. "I need to talk to Mom more. I am not used to having a Mom or having parents..."
"Emma, you will get used to it even if we have to teach Mom about the outside world."
"It is not the type of mother-daughter relationship, I always wanted."
"Mommy." Emma scooped Hope into arms. Hope babbles.
Emma smiles big. "I am great Mommy to you?" Hope screams. "Yes!! I cannot forget your big brother!"
"Mommy!" She babbles as she hugs her Mommy. "I am the best Mommy? I love you so much, Hope." She kisses Hope on the head.
Henry enters the room. "Aunt Allison!"
"Yes, Henry?"
"I got Connor in a new show?"
Allison smiles. "What is the show?"
"Thomas and Friends. It is a good show. I remember watching it. He is loving it."
Allison smiles. "I know what to get him even though his birthday was last month." Hope babbles.
"Little sis, do you want to watch Thomas and Friends with Connor and me?" Hope fusses.
"That is a no. We can watch Disney later, little sis." Henry kisses Hope on the cheek and returns to the living room. "Little love, do you want to play?"
"Dada!" Killian takes Hope from his swan. "Mommy! Aa-ahh!"
"Oh, really? You want to stay with Mommy and Auntie, little love?" The two sisters smile. Hope babbles.
Emma faces Hope. "You can stay with Mommy and Auntie." She kisses Hope on the cheek making her smile.
Saturday came, Killian wakes up hearing his swan awake. He sees her crying and hugs her. "Emma, are you okay?"
"I had a bad dream about the foster system. The abuse, I had in there." Killian hugs his swan more. "I also had a dream that I find a dead body in my Dad's house."
"He sounds like a very nice man, Emma. I am sure he is not a killer."
"How do you know? We are going to meet a stranger?!" She paces in her room. "This is a bad idea. I am going to call Allison and tell her we are not going!"
Killian gets out of bed."Emma!" He faces his wife. "I know you are afraid. You are not alone. You are with me. We are all going to meet your Dad together. If there is something bad, we are going to leave. I am not going to leave your side, Emma." Emma hugs Killian.
Emma and Killian were loading the car for the day trip to Connecticut. Henry was sitting on the steps watching them as Hope was walking around the lawn. Killian gets Hope from the lawn. "Emma, the car is all packed."
Emma sees Henry on the steps hugging his stuffed elephant knowing he is afraid. "Yes, can you get Hope set in her car seat?" Killian sees Henry.
"Aye, love. Take your time with Henry, love. We are still waiting for Ted and Allison."
She joined him on the steps. "Hey, kiddo."
"Mom? I am scared."
Emma hugs Henry. "Why are you scared?"
"Going to a new place...meeting new people. I hate that feeling."
"Henry, you are not traveling alone. You are going to travel with me, Dad and Hope. Aunt Allison, Uncle Ted and Connor are traveling behind us in their car. This is a family adventure. We are going to have fun seeing the animals and meeting my Dad." Henry still looked afraid. "Henry, can you keep a secret?"
He faces his Mom. "Yes."
"I am worried about meeting my Dad."
"Mom, he sounds so nice on the phone. He is looking forward to meeting you and Aunt Allison. Why are you afraid?"
"Because I do not know him. I was living with strangers all of my life in foster care. I did not have a real home. Now I have a home with you, Hope and Dad. I am less afraid now because I have my family with me today meeting my Dad. It is okay to be nervous, Henry."
"Mom, I am excited."
"I also have a gift for you."
"You do?"
"Yes." Emma takes out from her bag a PSP.
"Whoa! A PSP!! Awesome!!" Henry hugs his Mom. "Thank you, Mom!"
"You are very welcome, Henry. You can play it on our road trip there!"
"Yes!" Hope walks over to Henry. "Hopey."
"Little duckling, you are not in your car seat?" She tickles Hope's belly. Hope babbles.
"Swan, she did not want to be in her car seat."
"Mommy!" She points at Henry.
"Kid, your sister is waiting for us to get into the car."
"I am ready."
Hope tugs her Mommy's hand. "We are coming, Hopey." She lets her daughter guide her to their car. The Cameron car arrived. "Aaa-aaah!!"
"Yes, Hope Auntie is here." Allison gets out of the car and Hope screams. "AAA-AHH!" Hope goes to Allison who was holding Connor who was crying "Hi, Hope!" Connor cried more. Hope hugs Allison's legs.
"Connor, what is wrong?"
"Dada...Dada..."
"Allison?"
"Ted has to go to work. He got called in just before we left."
Connor clung onto his Mommy. "Dada, mama."
"I know, baby. Ted told me that he will catch up."
Emma knows her sister is sad and traveling alone with a baby on a road trip will be hard alone. "Allison. You and Connor can ride with us."
"Emma, no."
Killian goes to the lasses hearing what was going on. "Allison you and Connor and join us in our car."
"Killian, thank you for the offer."
"Allison, we have room for you and Connor to ride with us."
Henry goes to them. "Henry, Aunt Allison, and Connor are riding with us!"
"Awesome!"
"Lad, you can help me rearrange the car."
"Yes, Dad." He faces Connor. "Little cuz, you are riding with us!" He tickles Connor making him smile. Henry and Kilian go to the car.
"Hi, Connor!"
"Em-Em!"
Emma takes Connor from her sister. "You and Mama are riding with us to Grandpa's farm!"
Allison scooped Hope into her arms. "Are you excited for the road trip?" Hope babbles. "You are happy to spend the weekend with me?!" Hope smiles. "Yes!" She spun her niece around. "We are going to risde in the same car!"
"Allison, Hope is very excited that you and Connor are riding with us."
"Emma.."
Emma hugs her sister. "It gives us extra time to talk."
Henry was helping his Dad rearrange the car. "Dad, where is Uncle Ted?"
"He has to work, lad. That is why your aunt and cousin are coming with us."
"I know I can make Connor happy, Dad." Connor goes to Henry, he babbles. "Hi, Connor!"
"Henry, he wants to play with you, kid before we hit the road. I will help your Dad."
"Okay, Mom." He takes Connor's hand and followed him around the lawn.
Hope points at Henry and Connor and babbles. "Yes, Hope, Henry, and Connor are playing. In the car, you can talk to me." Hope smiles.
Emma helps Killian rearrange their car. "Killian..."
"Swan, Allison, and the little lad can ride with us."
"I didn't want Allison to drive alone on a trip with Connor. She is so sad Ted had to go into work."
"Aye, I understand, love. They are riding with us, love." Emma helped Allison transfer her luggage to their car. Killian puts Connor's car seat in the car. Henry was chasing Hope and Connor around the yard. "Henry, Hope, Connor time to get into the car."
Henry leads the two toddlers to the car. He was out of breath. "Mom, Hope needs a diaper change."
"Thanks, kid." She holds Hope. "Good job on tiring these two out before our long drive."
"Welcome, Mom. They are fun to play with."
Emma takes Hope inside to change her diaper. She takes her up to Hope's room and changes her diaper. Hope babbles. "Are you looking forward to our family road trip?" Hope smiles. "Me too." Hope looks at her Mommy. "Mommy is a little nervous meeting her Dada."
"Dada." She babbles.
Emma smiles. "Yes, he sounds nice on the phone."
"Dada Aaa-aah!!"
She leans her head against her daughter's forehead. "You are right, I am not meeting my Dad alone, I have Dada, Auntie Allison, Henry, and Connor." Hope babbles. "Yes, of course, you, Hope!" She bops her daughter's nose. "I cannot meet my Dad without my baby girl! We are going to meet your grandpa together." She hugs Hope.
Allison puts Connor in his car seat who began crying. "Baby boy are you hungry?" She gives Connor a bag of washed blueberries. Connor points at Henry. Allison was in aww. "Henry is coming with us. Henry, Connor wants you to sit next to him."
"I can sit next to him, Aunt Allison. Dad, where is Crush?"
"Right here, lad." He gives his son his stuffed elephant. "You can put him in your backpack so you won't lose him."
"I will hold him on the ride, I will put him in my backpack when we get there."
"Aye, lad. I do not want you to lose him."
"Dad, Crush has been with me through everything."
"Aye, lad."
Henry sits next to Connor. Connor babbles. "Yes, the back is for the boys!" Killian and Allison both smile at Henry and Connor.
"Henry, I have snacks for you too. Do you like raspberries?"
"Yes, I like them. Mom gave me them in yogurt last week and they were good.
"I have no yogurt..."
"That is okay, I will have raspberries Aunt Allison." She gives Henry the container. "Thank you, Aunt Allison."
"Killian, where can I park my car?"
"You can in the driveway right behind Emma's yellow bug."
"I can do that. Also, thank you for letting us join you."
"You are welcome, Allison. You and Connor are part of our family. It is a family road trip after all." Allison parks her car behind her sister's yellow bug. Emma carried out Hope. "Sis, everything packed?"
"Yes! Emma, Thank you."
"Allison, you are my sister. It would not be a family road trip without y big sis." Allison smiles.
"Aahh!"
"Yes, Hope, Auntie is riding with us." Hope screamed. "Allison, Hope is very excited that you are riding with us."
"You are sitting next to me little niece. The boys are sitting in the back." Emma chuckles. She buckles Hope in her car seat. "Dada!"
"Dada is driving the car, little love."
Emma chuckles as she got into the passenger seat. "She is happy that her Daddy is traveling with us."
"Mom!"
"Yes? Henry?"
"How long is the trip to Gramps farm?"
"It is about a 2 ½ hour ride without traffic, kid. We also have a DVD player here too."
"Awesome!" Killian starts the car as Emma uses the GPS, to use as directions to Connecticut. As he drove, Emma and Allison were talking and Henry was playing on his new PSP. The two babies were napping in their car seats. After a few rests stops for gas, and change the babies diapers, Killian arrived at Emma's and Allison's biological Dad's house. They see a farmhouse and animals. "This is it."
Henry stopped playing with his game. "Awesome! This is really a farmhouse."
Emma was getting nervous. Killian held his swan's hand. "Emma, I am right at your side. Everything is going to be okay." The babies began to cry.
"We are here, Hope and Connor." Killian and Henry began unloading the car as Allison and Emma took the babies out of the car. Emma holds Hope on her hip. "Hope, look at the animals, cows, pigs and ducks."
"Moo!"
"That is right, Hope! The cow says moo!"
"Moo!!" Allison brings Connor to her sister.
"That is right, Connor. The cow says moo." She tickles her nephew. The two mothers let the babies walk around. They hear a door closes, a man with short blonde hair and brown eyes. "Allison, I think that is him."
"Emma! Allison!"
"Yes!" They walk closer to him. Killian got the camera ready and went to Emma and Allison. Henry got the two babies and walked over to them.
David hugged them crying. "My daughters." He looked up at them both. "You both look like your mother." Emma and Allison were crying. Killian was taking pictures of his wife and sister-in-law meeting their father.
"I am Emma..."
"Emma." He hugs her and cradles her head. "Your Mom told me she wanted to name you, Emma."
"Dad...I still have the baby blanket with my name on it... finally, know where I get my blonde hair from. From you."
David smiles. "You get your blonde hair from my side of the family but you have your mother's eyes. Both of you." He looks at his other daughter. "Allison. You have your Mom's hair." He hugs her and cradles her head. Henry was holding both babies hands.
"Hi, Dad."
Killian came up to Emma hugging her. "You two both look like your mother." He sees Killian. "Who is this?"
"Dad, this is my husband, Killian. Killian, meet my Dad."
"Hello, David."
"Hi, Killian." They shook hands. "I can tell you are taking good care of my daughter."
"Aye, yes I am ever since we first met."
"He gave me a home which I never had until I met him."
"I have a feeling I have a story to hear."
Emma smiles. "Yes, you do."
"Dad, it is a story, they both told me a few times." Henry leads the babies to their parents.
"Mommy, dada."
Emma holds Hope on her hip. "Hope, this is my daddy." Hope babbles. "Yes, he is my Daddy. Dad this is your granddaughter Hope. And your grandson Henry."
"Hi, Gramps."
"Hi, henry. Are you a good big brother?"
"Yes, I am." Henry hugs David. Hope began crying. "Hope, you want to hug gramps too?"
Emma gives Hope to her Dad. "Hi, Hope." Hope looks at David. "I am your grandpa."
"Mommy."
Emma takes Hope from her Dad. "Hope, you met your grandpa? Yes, we got to know how we got our blond hair from."
Connor tugs David's pants. David kneels down to face Connor. "You must be Connor!" Connor smiles. He hotels Connor on his hip.
"Connor, is grandpa holding you?" She kisses her son on his cheek. "That is Mama's Dada. Dad, this is my son Connor. He is 3 months older than Hope. Emma was the first one to hold Connor."
"Yes, Connor knew I was his Mommy's sister before we knew." Connor began crying.
Allison takes her son from her Dad. "Baby, do you want to see the animals?" He nods his head. "Let's go see the animals."
"Dad, can you give us a tour?"
"Yes, I can." David gave his daughters and grandchildren a tour of his farm of cows, horses, sheep, goats, ducks, rabbits, and pigs. David teaches Henry how to milk a cow. When David showed them the horses. Hope began crying. She walked back to the house and sat with Hope on the swinging bench. "We are away from the horses, baby girl." Hope was still crying.
Killian goes to his two loves. "Emma, s Hope alright?"
"I think the horses scared her. She is very upset."
"I will be right back." He returned to their car and gets Hope's favorite toy. "Hope, everything is okay, little love. Look what Dada has. Pluto." Hope toys her toy and snuggles with her Mommy.
"Dada." Hope smiles.
"Hope." They both smile at their daughter. "You are happy with your Mommy and Pluto."
"Dada.."
"Aye, dada is here too." He rubs Hope's cheek. "Swan, Henry, and your Dad are getting along. I can stay here with Hope. So you can join them."
"Hope, you are going to snuggle with dada while I talk to my dada." Killian holds Hope. Thank you."
"You are welcome,love. Hope and I are going to look at other smaller animals to pet."
"Good idea. I think the chicks or bunnies, she will like."
"Aye, now get to know your Dad." They kiss. Emma returns to her Dad, sister, son, and nephew.
"Mom! Gramps is going to teach me how to ride."
"Awesome!"
A man with blonde hair with green eyes approached everyone. "Hi, David!"
"Hi, Kristoff."
Henry runs to Emma and hugs her. "Henry, everything is okay, kid." He was shaking. "Dad, is this your friend?"
"Yes, Emma. Kristoff, these are my daughters Allison and Emma. My grandsons Henry and Connor. My granddaughter's name is Hope but she is with her Dad, Killian on the porch."
"Henry, this is grandpa's friend. Kristoff." Henry shakes his head. "Kristoff, sorry about Henry he is a little shy with new people."
"Where is Dad?"
"He is with Hope." Emma takes Henry to Killian.
Allison goes to Kristoff. "I am sorry about my nephew. Henry is still new to our family. We tell him in advance who we are, so he won't get afraid. He was in two group homes before he was placed into Emma and Killian's home. They are going to adopt him but he is being adjusted. He had a single Mom before she died. He was neglected. Emma and Killian are giving him a family he needs."
David sees his daughter being an amazing Mom. "How long has Henry been with Emma and Killian?"
"A few weeks."
"Emma and Killian are already good parents to Henry."
"From their experiences, Emma has horrible foster parents and Killian's abusive father..."
"You and Emma weren't adopted together?"
"No."
"Mama!"
Allison holds her son. "We met when Connor was born. We were sharing the same hospital room. We became best friends. My adopted Mom told me about my adoption when Hope was born. Emma will tell her about her foster system story, Dad. I always wanted a sister growing up..."
"Mama...neigh."
"Yes, the horse goes neigh. Dad, can you help Connor with how to pet the house?"
"Yes, I can." He takes Connor from his daughter and helps him pet the horse. "That is a good petting, Connor." Allison took pictures on her iPhone.
Killian knows something wrong with his son."Henry?"
"Dad!" Henry hugs his dad. Emma gives her husband a look and takes Hope from her husband.
Killian hugs his son. "Everything is okay, son."
"Wy-wy." Hope points at her brother.
Emma smiles hearing Hope saying Henry's name. "Henry is going to be okay, baby girl."
"Why are you afraid, son?"
"I do not know him. I am scared he's gonna hurt me."
"Dad introduced us to Kristoff.."
"He is a stranger...he is going to hurt me."
"Henry." He holds his son. "No one is going to hurt you here, lad. If someone does, you have me to defend you."
"Dad, you will do that?"
"Yes, son. I am always there for my family." Henry hugs his Dad.
"Henry, Hope has something to say to you."
"Hope, Henry is listening to you."
"Wy-wy!"
Henry smiles. "Hope, you are saying my name,baby sis!" Killian set his son down. He takes his sister from his Mom.
"Wy-wy."
"Hope knew you were sad, kid. She wanted you to feel better."
"Wy-wy!"
Henry kisses Hope on the head. "I love you, Hope."
"Wy-wy."
"Hope is afraid of the big animals. Do you want to show her the bunnies and chicks?"
"Yes, Mom. You are coming with us,Dad?"
"Aye, son." Henry leads his family to where the bunnies are. "Look, baby sis, we are going to pet bunnies."
Emma goes to a fence and holds a light brown bunny and carried it out so she can show her children. She sat on the ground. "Hi, little bunny." She pets the bunny. "Bunnies like to be held and pet but we have to be quiet and soft. They have sensitive hearing." Henry and Hope sit down. Emma gives Henry the bunny.
He pets the bunny first. "Hi, bunny. You are so soft."
Killian gets a gray bunny for Hope to pet. "Little love, the bunny is so soft."
"Dada!" Killian sits next to Hope. "Dada."
"Killian, she wants to sit on your lap." She puts Hope on her daddy's lap.
"Dada!"
"Hi, little love. Do you want to pet the bunny?" He teaches Hope how to be soft. Emma takes pictures of Henry and Hope petting the bunnies on her iPhone. The bunny that Henry was holding was lying down in his arms. "Henry, that bunny is sleeping in your arms."
Henry smiles. "This bunny knows that I am calm. Or sense I need love." He kisses the bunny. The bunny that Killian and Hope were petting Hope away to where the horses were. "There you are." Emma catches the bunny.
"Emma, Henry, and Hope are enjoying the bunnies?"
"Yes, Henry has one of the bunnies lying in his arms. This little one escaped from Killian and Hope."
"That is Thumper." They walk together to the bunny area. "Henry, you are holding Cinnamon."
"I like Cinnamon. He is lying in my arms."
"That means he likes you." Hope babbles. "Hope, did the bunny hop away from you?" Hope babbles. "Aye, David, yes he did."
Emma returns with the bunny and helpedHope hold the bunny. "Swa, I can hold the bunny."
"Dada?"
"Yes, little love. Dada is holding the bunny and you."
"Mom?"
"Yes, Henry?" She sits next to her son. He leaned his head on his shoulder. "I am right here."
"I like Cinnamon."
"I can tell he likes you."
Allison and Connor find them. "Em-em."
"Hi, Connor. Henry and Hope are petting bunnies? Do you want to join us?"
"Mama, Em-em."
"We can sit next to Auntie Emma and Henry."
Connor sits next to Emma. She puts her nephew on her lap. "Little cuz, this bunny's name is Cinnamon."
"You can pet the bunny, Connor. The bunny is soft." She helped her nephew pet the bunny. Connor babbles. "Soft."
Allison takes pictures of Connor, Henry, and Emma with the bunny. "Allison?"
"Yes, Dad?"
"I was so excited to have grandchildren, I bought them a kiddie pool."
Emma and Allison both smile. "Dad, I think Hope and Connor will love the pool."
"Gramps, can I go in?"
"Yes, you can, Henry." Emma and Allison got the babies ready to go swimming. She dresses Hope into a pink Minnie Mouse bathing suit as Allison dressed Connor into Mickey Mouse swim trunks. They take pictures of their children on their iPhones.Henry quickly changed into his swimsuit and went back outside. Killian helped David blow up the inflatable pool by using an air pump.
Emma holds the door to let the babies walk. "Dada!" She goes to her Daddy and hugs his legs. Killian holds Hope. "Hope, are you excited to go in the pool?" Hope babbles.
"Killian, she needs her sunscreen first." She puts sunblock all over her daughter as Allison puts Connor in the pool.
"You are in the water!" Connor smiles. "You like grandpa's pool?"
"Aahh!!!" Allison smiles as she takes pictures of her son in the pool.
"Henry, before you go in you need sunscreen on."
"Yes, Mom." Emma helped her son put sunscreen on him. "Mom, I think that is enough."
"I just want to make sure you don't get any sunburn."
"Emma, you put enough sunscreen on Henry."
"Em-em!"
"Sis, Connor wants Henry to swim with him."
"Kd, you can go in."
"Yes!" Henry goes into the pool.
"Wy-wy!"
"You want to go swimming with your big brother and cousin?" Hope babbles. Killian puts Hope into the pool. Hope babbles to Connor. Henry plays with the babies.
In the evening, Henry was playing in the living room as the two babies were fast asleep upstairs. David found Emma on the front porch. There you are."
"Hi, Dad."He joined her on the steps. "Dad, it was nice of you to get the kids a pool to play in."
"I had a feeling my grandchildren would love it."
"All three of them love it. The babies love the pool. They are tuckered out."
"Tell me about you. Allison told me about herself. I want to know you."
Emma smiles. "I was a foster kid, my whole life. I was put into foster homes, or group homes, all of them were bad. At the age of sixteen, I became a runaway. I could not live in foster care any longer. I lived on the streets. I still went to high school. I kept to myself. No one knew I was a homeless foster kid. I just knew my education was going to help me get out of the streets forever. One night, I was raped. I had no idea who he was...until last year when I was pregnant with Hope. My rapist got me pregnant....I found out when I miscarried in an ally way bathroom. I finished high school. I got my associate's Degree. I met Killian on the first day of flight school. A few months later, we were snowed in at the school library. He found out I was homeless. He listened to my story...he was the first person in my life who saw me and care for me. He was the one who put me first."
"Emma,I am so sorry. Your Mom and I wanted to keep you. When I returned home from school one day, your Mom was gone...first Allison... then you... Your Mom never came back...I lost my whole family."
"Dad, your family is back. Allison and I are here with you now."
"I am so proud of you, Emma. You graduated high school, survived the streets, and an amazing mother to Henry and Hope." David hugs his daughter. Emma began crying happy tears she is with her Dad. "I am so happy to have found you."
"Dad!"
"You can go see, what Allison wants." David returns inside. Killian went downstairs while Allison and David were talking in the kitchen. "Henry, where is your Mom?"
"She is outside."
"Aye, son. Are you enjoying your comic book?"
"Yes!"
Killian finds his swan wearing a hoodie sitting on the steps. "Hi, Emma."
"Hey."
Killian sits next to his swan and hugs her. "I thought my beautiful wife needed my company."
"I love being in your arms and with you." She kisses him on the cheek.
"Are you okay?"
"Yes, I am. I just cannot believe that we are with my Dad. I am just looking at this farm, trying to think how my life would be like here...both of my parents grew up on farms. I just cannot imagine being a farm girl."
Killian chuckles. "I can imagine that."
"It is easier to talk to my Dad. WIth my Mom, it is harder..."
"Maybe you're a Daddy's girl?"
Emma chuckles. "Maybe, I am." She hugs her husband. "Thank you."
"For what?"
"For being there for me when I had no one."
"Once I laid my eyes on you, I knew I was going to do everything to take care of you and project you because I love you."
"I love you." they kiss.
Allison opens the door."Emma! Killian!!"
"Allison?"
"You both need to come in!!"
"Big sis?"
Allison took Emma's hand and lead them to where their Dad was in the living room. Emma sees her Dad smiling and talking to someone on facetime. "Mary-Margaret."
"David..."
"Allison, Mom and Dad are talking?"
"Yes. They are reuniting over facetime."
"David, where do you live now?"
"I live in Connecticut. I have my own farm."
"You do?"
"Yes, I do need my long-lost girlfriend to live with me."
"Mom, come back to America."
"Emma!"
"Hi, Mom. Allison and I are meeting Dad."
"My whole family is in Connecticut. I am in Italy."
"Come home, Mom. We miss you."
"We miss you." Henry hugs his Mom. "You will reunite with Dad. You will also get to meet your new grandson, Henry."
"Hi, Grandma."
"Hi, Henry."
"Mary-Margaret we have three grandchildren to spoil. I want you to live here with me. We live nearby Emma and Allison."
"I want to come home." The two sisters leave so their parents can talk alone.
"Allison, our parents are going to be reunited!"
"I have a feeling that we are going to have a wedding to plan."
"It is a good thing, we can plan together." They both scream and hug in excitement.
Killian smiles seeing his Emma being so happy and knowing her side of the family has family members which extended their family. His swan was all alone when he met her, now Emma is not alone with him as being her husband, their daughter Hope, their soon-to-be adopted son Henry, finding her long lost sister Allison and finding her parents and soon reuniting them.
Emma goes to Killian and hugs him. "Our family."
"Aye, our family is almost complete." They kiss.
