Bonding Time

Throughout the night, Ian was keeping up his parents. Emma scooped her son in her arms. "Ian, you are a night owl and waking up your Auntie Allison across the hall." She breastfeeds her son who latched on right away.

Killian returns from Hope's room. "Our little lass is back to sleep. Our guests are fast asleep in the guest room. Connor is fast asleep in Henry's room."

"Good. I feel sorry, now that Allison has bad morning sickness. I want to make sure that she rests."

He hears a thump. "I will be right back, love." Killian went to his son's room and sees Connor in the same bed as Henry. "Henry, what is going on?"

"Connor was calling my name. He wanted out of the travel crib thing."

"Little lad, you want to stay with Henry for night- night?"

"Yes! He-wy."

Killian set some pillows down ont he floor. "These pillows are for just in case Connor falls."

"Dad, I think he needs a change."

He changed his nephew's diaper. "There you go, little lad. Time for night-night." He sets Connor across the bed from Henry.

In the morning, Allison was having morning sickness, Joe was comforting his girlfriend and tucked her in to rest. Emma was tending to Ian. Joe returns downstairs, Hope and Connor were both crying. Killian knows his sister in law having bad morning sickness. "Joe, how about we take these three out for breakfast?"

"That is a good idea. Your wife and my girlfriend can sleep in peace and quiet."

"Lad, get dressed. We are going out to eat for breakfast."

"Yes!" Henry got ready for the day as Killian and Joe got the two toddlers ready for the day. They set the two little ones in their car seats in the family car. Henry had a seatbelt protector on his seatbelt.

Killian drove them to a diner. He carried Hope in as Joe carried Connor in. Henry followed the hostess to their table. She gave two baby seats. Hope held onto her Dada. "Dada."

"You can sit with me, little love." he sits down next to his son. The hostess gave Henry a children's menu with crayons. Killian helped Henry read the menu. He chose his breakfast. Killian ordered his menu with scrambled eggs and sausage on the side for Hope. Henry was coloring on the kids menu. He let his sister and cousin help him draw.

Emma wakes up, seeing Ian was napping next to him. She holds her son on her chest and walked around the house which was quiet. She finds her sister resting across the hall fast asleep. "Looks like, your Daddy took Henry, Hope, and Connor out with Joe. It is just the two of us, baby boy." Ian coos. She went to the kitchen and made her a pot of coffee and set her son ont he moving chair. She brings her mug to the living room and set mug on the table. Killian Jr fusses. She holds her son. "Baby, you are with Mama." She sits on the couch.

Ian moved around waking up with his ocean blue eyes. "Hi, baby boy. You are with Mama. We are having out snuggles." She kissed her son on the head and enjoyed her alone time with her newborn son while the house was quiet.

At the diner,Killian returns from the bathroom with Hope. "Henwy."

"Hopey, you can sit next to me."

Killian sets his daughter next to him so she can sit next to her big brother.

The family meals came. Joe ordered pancakes and bacon. He ordered a side of scrambled eggs and mini pancakes for Connor. Henry ordered chocolate chip pancakes. Killian cut p the sausage and making sure Hope eats her food.

Hope was trying to steal Henry's pancakes. "Hopey!" He gave her a cut up piece for his sister. "Here you go."

She hugged her big brother. "You are welcome, baby sis." Killian smiles, his two older children are close. He knows Ian will be close with his big brother and big sister. He knows Emma and Allison are enjoying a quiet house.

Emma was taking care of Allison when she was sick. When her sister was asleep, she was snuggling with her newborn son. She knows Killian is enjoying his time off with their two older children.

In the afternoon, Emma and Allison were talking in the living room when Killian and Joe returned with the kids. "Mom!"

"Hi, kid." She hugged her son. "How was your day?"

"Dad took us the the diner for breakfast. After we went to the park."

"That sounds like a fun day." She looked up Hope was fast asleep in Killian's arms. "You tired her out?"

"Aye, Henry chased Hope and Henry around the park."

"I can tell both of our kids had fun." She hugged her husband. "Thank you for taking the kids." They kiss. She holds daughter and kissed her on the head.

"It was enjoyable. Where is our little lad?

"He is napping in his crib." He went up to his son's nursery.

"Connor was the first one to fall asleep in the car."

"Mom, Hope was chasing me around in the park. She was trying to steal my chocolate chip pancakes in the diner."

Emma chuckles. "We can make chocolate chip pancakes here, kid."

Allison hugged her boyfriend. "Allison, how are you feeling?"

"Better than this morning. I am less sick now. Emma and I are having our sister time now."

"I will bring Connor upstairs." Joe carried Connor upstairs. Henry went to retrieve Legos.

The two sisters sat down. "Joe and Killian looked like they were exhausted from the park."

Allison chuckles. "I am pretty sure Joe is learning how to be a Dad from the morning alone."

"He is great with Connor. By the time, my niece or nephew arrives, he will be a natural father."

"I want Joe to adopt him."

"Oh, really?"

"He is always there for me and Connor. Ted never calls, or visits Connor, only when I call him to remind him of the visits. Joe steps in and plays with him when Ted does not show up."

She smiles, knowing her sister found the right one. "Joe is stepping up to be Connor's Dad and it shows."

"I know. We are happy. By the time, my baby arrives, my family will be complete."

"Tow kids only?"

"Yes. This pregnancy is my last. My pregnancy with Connor at this stage was easier. This time around is harder. I love him or her so much."

"You have me to take care of you."

She hugged her sister. 'Thank you, little sis. You have your newborn son to take care of."

"I can take care of you both. You are not alone."

"You are not alone, too." They hugged. The two sisters were alone for years, with their expanding family, they are not going to be alone ever again.
