Killian let his wife sleep in on their day off. He went out to Home Depot bought paint rollers, stirrer, pouring spout, tape, screen, 5-gallon bucket, rolling tray, roller cover, drop cloths, and blue tape. Killian quietly returned to his quiet home, knowing in a few months their little girl will be there. Killian quietly covered Hope's room with drop clothes and brought the other items to paint the walls cream color. Before he began his painting, he brings up his wife breakfast. He wakes up Emma by kissing Emma's baby bump to the top of her head. "Morning, love." Emma wakes up giggling and smiling. "Morning, honey." They kiss.
"I made you breakfast."
"Thank you." She eats her chocolate chip pancakes. "They are delicious by the way." She rubs her baby bump, "Hope is happy because she wanted something sweet."
Killian smiles. "I am happy to make you and our little lass happy."
"We both love you."
"Aye, I love you both so much." They kiss and Killian rubs Emma's baby bump where Hope is growing.
"What time is it?"
"10:00 am."
"Ashley will be here with Alexandra in an hour."
"Love, you have time to eat and get dressed."
"I know. I was thinking can we go baby furniture shopping tomorrow?"
"Sure, love." They talked some more until Emma got dressed for the day. Killian began painting the baby's room a divine icing cream color. As he was painting their doorbell rang. Emma went downstairs to see Ashley and Alexandra. "Hi, Ashley . Hi, Alexandra. Come in."
"Hi, Emma."
They sit on the couch. "Alexandra, there is a baby in my belly." She pointed to her baby bump.
"There is a baby inside there?"
"Yes, you will have a little friend coming in August."
"Will I be able to hold the baby?'
Emma chuckles. "Yes, you will Alexandra." She hugs Alexandra.
"Emma, can I show you my drawings?"
"I would love to see them, Ally."
"How is the baby Emma?"
Emma smiles and rubs her baby bump. "My baby is getting bigger every day, she is healthy which all that matters to me." Alexandra showed Emma her recent drawings, sitting on Emma's lap. "This picture is two kitty cats."
"Oh, I can see that. What is that behind the two cats?"
"That is their house."
"Kitty's have their own house?"
Alexandra giggles."Yes, of course, they do, Emma."
"I do not know enough about cats. What else you want to show me?" Killian comes downstairs, seeing his wife with Alexandra, happy. He motions for Ashley to come.
"Hi, Killian."
"Hi, Ashley . Can I show you something upstairs?"
"Sure what is it?"
"It is a surprise for Emma and the baby?"
"Sure. Emma loves Alexandra."
"Aye, I cannot wait to see her with our little babe when she arrives."
"She will be a great Mom to your daughter." They go upstairs. Killian shows Ashley the one coat of the baby's nursery painted.
"I know this is only one coat of the paint, what do you think so far?"
