CHAPTER 1

"AMICA...AMICA"

"NO... NO... please s-stop it"

"Wake up, AMICA"

"Don't touch... me... please"

"Shh...AMICA... It's me, EMI."

"Stop it... Please...no...no"

"AMICA..."

I shot opened my eyes and woke up. I was breathing heavily as it felt like I was out of oxygen. I tried to move my body and slowly brought my hand to touched my neck and forehead. Then, I realized I was sweating a lot. I looked around and saw EMI in front of me.

"EMI...EMI..." I called her and pulled her into my arms. I hugged her tight feeling scared.

At that moment, all I needed was a warm hug and someone beside me. There was mixed feeling in my eyes as tears were following down and my heart was beating at a fast pace. Even my body was trembling in fear.

I always dream of that incident. The incident changed my whole life and became a nightmare for me. It is not going to leave me even if I die. I thought to myself and closed my eyes, cried for some time. That's the only thing I can do at the moment.

"Shh... Don't cry. I am here, okay...shh" She patted on my back trying to calm me, and caressed my hair. When she patted my back, I felt calm and relieved. All those things that were going around my head went away. After some time, she broke the hug and looked at me.

"Don't leave me. Please stay with me... Please..." I held her both hands and looked into her eyes.

I was scared that she would leave me like them. I don't want to lose the only person who is with me. The only person I care about in this world besides them. The only one whom I don't want to lose in this life. The last person that exists in my world.

"Okay... Calm down. I am not going anywhere. I will not leave you. I will stay with you." She tapped on my hands and nodded at me. Then, she left my hand and got up from the bed. She poured the water on the glass. "Now drink some water." She gave me a glass of water.

At first, I hesitated. She smiled and nodded at me. I slowly brought my hand and held it. I slowly drank the water. She went away and brought something in her hand. She sat down on the bed beside me and helped to clean my face with a towel.

I was looking at her all the time. Then, she brought some clothes from the drawer. She pointed at my clothes and I looked down. I was sweating a lot and all my clothes were wet.

"Now, take shower and be fresh. It's 5 am. We have to get back to work." She said and patted my head. I took a deep sigh and nodded at her. "I will wait for you in the kitchen. Come fast. Don't be late." She smiled at me and left the room.

I drank the water and put the glass on the side table. The moment when my feet touch the floor, I feel relieved. It was a nightmare that I always dream about. I wiped my face with my hands and slowly looked up. There was a mirror. I looked at myself in the mirror.

Everything was messy, my hair, bruises on my face, marks on my hands and neck, my torn clothes. Tears were filled in my eyes. Then, I realized what happened to me. EMI didn't ask me anything. She knew about what happened to me. Maybe she didn't want to talk about it. Even, I don't want to talk about it.

I shook my head and tried to get up from the bed but fell to the ground. I wasn't able to stand. I felt numb and some part of my body was hurting a lot. I shook my head and didn't care about the pain. I just grabbed the bed and got up. I took a deep sigh and turned around. Something caught my eyes, the clothes that were on the bed.
