CHAPTER 22

22.

**ANNIE POV**

Today, I woke up a bit late. I was on the way to the café as others went earlier. I don't know why but I was feeling nervous, excited, hurt, and afraid.

Why am I feeling this way? It's like something is going to happen. I kind of have bad vibes. I don't know what is going to happen. 

I brought my hands in my chest and tried to stay calm. 

"Don't think about it. Everything is going to be fine." I said to myself and nodded.

After some time, I arrived at the café and looked around. I smiled and closed my eyes. I took a deep breath.

"Everything will be fine." I opened my eyes and observed the view around the cafe. Then, something caught my eyes. 

The black car? Then, I remembered something. For how long that car had been staying there? 

I tried to peek at the car but instantly I heard a voice behind me.

"Hey, ANNIE..." I turned around and saw NAELY.

"Oh... Hi, NAELY."

"What happens? What are you doing here? You look worried. Is everything okay?" She came near me and held my hands.

"I am fine. I was just wondering around... Have you seen that car before?" I asked her pointing at the black car.

"Yeah, I have seen some black cars for few days around our café. But doesn't know who is the owner."

"Oh... Okay..." I said and tried to avoid it.

"Let's go, inside."

I nodded to her and she went inside the café. I was about to go inside when I saw NICK and JASON. They were talking about something. It was more like arguing with each other. I narrowed my eyes and tried to look closely.

"Hey, ANNIE... come on."

"Okay, NAELY. I will be there." I shouted still looking at them.

What are they talking about? JASON seems angry. Did something happen between them? I thought to myself and went inside.

"Hey, are you okay?" ABY who was cleaning the front door asked me.

"Yeah, I am fine," I said and smiled at her.

"That's great. Come inside." 

Later, I changed my clothes and continued my work. I was working in the kitchen. 

Physically, I was there but mentally, I was disturbed. My mind was consumed by many things. I was worried and afraid at the same time.

There is not any official news from the corporation. I don't know what is going on there. ANTONIO, I hope you have handled everything.

Except for me, nobody knows the value and the importance of the corporation in your life.

You have spent your whole teenage years and now adulthood for the development of the corporation. I know people around you are working as business colleagues or partners. But nobody knows their true colors.

You have totally engaged yourself in the corporate world leaving all your happiness and joyful life behind.

I truly understand the reason for your hard work but I am worried about your health and safety.
