My Destiny

CHAPTER 5

5.

"That day... SHE WAS ABUSED AND RAPED."

My eyes widened in shock. Then, MADY hugged me tightly and she was shedding tears. I don't know how to react to this. I just hugged her back and tapped at her back trying to comfort her.

"From that day, I tried a lot to help her and escape from this mansion but they didn't let her. They took her away from me." She began to whimper. "I wasn't able to take care of her. I failed to protect her."

I tried to comfort her. That's the only thing I can do right now. I had some tears in my eyes as well but I was holding it back. I took a deep sigh. 

Right now, I can't say anything to her. It's not the right time. I have to wait and observe everything.

The world is dark, selfish, and cruel. If it even finds the slightest ray of sunshine, it destroys it.

All of a sudden, we heard some footsteps coming towards the kitchen. We broke the hug and stood straight pretending as nothing happened. She wiped her tears and managed herself. I wiped my tears and looked away. Then, we turned back to continue the work.

"AMICA, please don't talk about this with any other person. PLEASE." She whispered to me and I just nodded to her.

So, MADY is the one, who helped her. When I recalled everything, I realized it and was shocked. I wasn't able to believe it. 

Still, I can't believe anyone in this mansion. I have to be careful.

"MADY, AMICA, Sir, and madam are looking for everyone in the hall." One of the staff said and MADY nodded to her.

"Let's go AMICA and be careful." She held my hand and took me with her. I just followed her and stayed silent.

We went to the hall and saw 2 people were sitting on the couch. I didn't look at the people. We stood there and lowered our heads. My mind was still consumed by the things MADY said to me. I was lost in my thoughts.

How can it be possible? I thought... she was... MADY tapped on my hands and I came out of my thought. I smiled and nodded to her.

"MADY, prepare the dining table, we will have lunch together." Then, we both bowed and went to prepare the table, others were standing there. MADY and I brought all the plates and put them on the table and arranged everything.

"Mom... where is dad?" one of them shouted.

"I am here dear."

"Dad... How are you, dad?"

"I am fine dear."

I could hear their conversation. I ignored them and continued setting the plates on the table. Something was weird, I can feel it. It was like someone was looking at me. I turned around and looked all over the place. Nobody was there. Then, I shook my head and continued to work.

After some time, all of them came to the dining hall and sat on their chair. I was standing a bit far from the table with other staff just opposite of them. They were having their family time. I glanced at them. All the emotions that were buried inside me for years, was slowly growing in my heart.

I have always dreamed to be with my family and have food together but you destroyed everything. You took away all my happiness and loved ones. Now, you are laughing and enjoying your moments with your family.

I don't know whether I might be alive or not but all will suffer as I did. Karma will hit you harder. You can enjoy it as much as you want. One day, you won't be able to eat like this. So, everybody be prepared for that day.
