CHAPTER 13

13.

"Take care of yourself. You have to be careful."

I stopped walking and looked in the direction where the voice was coming from. It was from one of the VIP rooms.

"What happened?" NAELY asked me. "Is everything fine?"

"Oh...nothing. I just want to use the washroom. You can go down and wait for me at the cafeteria. I will meet you there." I said and she narrowed her eyes in confusion. I smiled and nodded at her.

"Okay, come fast."

"NAELY, wait. Can you help me to buy some medicine?" I handed her the list and she nodded at me. "Thank you."

"I will be waiting. Come fast."

"I will." I watched her until the elevator was closed. Then, I turned around and stood in front of the door.

My heart was beating fast and I was feeling nervous. I took a little step toward the doors and saw the door wasn't fully closed. I can hear people talking inside the room.

"How can you be so careless? You know it's not good to go anywhere without any guards."

"I am fine. ANTONIO."

"She is fine."

"I have told you many times to take guards with you but you never listen to me."

"ANTONIO... She is fine, okay."

"From now on be careful and MICHALE takes care of her. I am not her real boyfriend, you are."

"Okay...okay...I will take care of her but for now please, calm down."

"I am fine. I just have some scratches on my hand. That's it."

"All right. Take care of yourself and don't worry. I will handle that thing. Let me take this call."

I don't know why but when I heard the voice, I really wanted to look inside. There was glass on the door that I can see. I slowly stepped forward and peeked through the door.

A girl was lying on the bed, one guy was holding her hand and 2 other guys were standing. At the same time, one of the guys turned around and looked in my direction. Our eyes met.

At that moment, my body froze and my legs were numb. I wasn't able to move my body. My heart was beating fast and slowly, I held my hand on my chest and he did the same. My eyes were filled with tears and his as well.

At that point, I felt like everything around me was stopped. I could only see him nothing else. There were mixed feelings in me when he was right in front of me. The pain in my heart, the feeling of missing, the love and care for that certain person, butterflies in the stomach, the strong feeling of protection. Everything felt so unreal.

There was something that was pulling me toward him. He took steps towards the door and I did the same. I was about to hold the doorknob but heard someone speaking.

"Where are you going, ANTONIO? And who is she?"

I snapped out of it and stepped back. I looked around the place and thankfully nobody noticed me. Without saying anything, I ran away. I wiped my tears with my hands and head straight to the elevator.

My hands were trembling and I tried clicking on the elevator button from time to time. I bite my lips in nervousness and my legs were shaking as well. Finally, the door opened and I went inside. I looked back and he was still following me.
