CHAPTER 21

21.

**AUTHOR POV**

As days go on, everybody is busy with their own work. Everything was normal. JASON and others were expecting some people in the café. They remembered the words those people said but nothing happened. 

After that incident, nobody actually came into the cafe looking after ANNIE. Everybody was quite surprised. They thought some mafia gang would show up but nobody showed up.

The people send by ANTONIO were working in the café and protecting everyone. ANNIE didn't notice them. JASON hired them as some workers left the café after that incident. It was easy for him to hire them as nobody will notice them.

ANNIE continued her work in the café as she was recovering well. Everything was getting normal in her life. She didn't even get the calls and messages from that certain person. She was spending her days as usual.

ANTONIO didn't even try to contact her. As he was busy with his work in the corporation. When the news of a new board member and the internal problems of the corporation was released, he was quite shocked as well. 

He had to work every day and night, trying to figure out everything in the corporation. As he was the youngest CEO of LC Corporation, it was obvious that people will try to use him and target him in every way.

Being the youngest CEO in the field of business is usually quite hectic and burdensome for everyone. Everybody will look down on you and point out your experience. They will take you as an inferior and disregard your work. Nobody will see the hard work that lies behind your every success.

It was the same for ANTONIO. It's not like he is enjoying being CEO or trying to be cocky, overconfident, and proud of himself. It's his responsibility as a son of the CARLTON family.

As a reality, some people really didn't care about his hard work for success. All they see is him as an affluent, wealthy, and successful businessman. The more he tried to build and protect the corporation, the more people try to hurt him. But nobody realizes that every time they try to hurt him, he was getting stronger every time. 

He is the inspiration for some teenager and adult who wants to be the entrepreneur and build their empire like him. His hard work is the result of the success of LC Corporation. 

Besides it, the news of ANTONIO and JUSTINA's breakup was also official by both of them. They both had the reason for it but didn't make it into public. 

Today, finally, he was free from all the works. All these days, he was totally consumed by the hotel project and others. He was still working in the office and making sure everything was done.

After some time, the door of his office opened revealing them. They were quite frustrated and annoyed.

"Dude, what happened? Why did you call us?" STEVEN asked him.

"Why? Were you busy?" ANTONIO asked him. "Let me guess..." He leaned back and raised his eyebrow. "You were on a date with her."

MICHALE tapped on STEVEN's shoulder and sat down on the couch.

"Whenever I am on my date, you always call me. You sound like it is urgent and important. So, we have to hurry up and meet you as soon as possible." STEVEN said and sighed while sitting on the couch. "But this time, I know why did you call us."

"Okay, then tell me."

"It's obvious. You want to meet ANNIE and you don't know how to approach her."

"Woahhh... You are great, STEVEN." ANTONIO and MICHALE said at the same time and gave him thumbs up.

"I know... I know..." He tapped on his shoulder. They laughed together.
