CHAPTER 18

18.

It's been 4 days since that incident in the cafe. I was in the meeting room. We were discussing some projects related to the development of a 5-star hotel in a new place. Our LC Corporation is involved in the hotel industry as well.

"Here, are the list of the investors and the people who have booked for the private suite."

"Excuse me, sir."

"Mr. ANTONIO?"

Suddenly, somebody tapped on my shoulder. Then, I noticed it was JOHN. I nodded at him and tried to focus on the meeting. 

But to be honest, I was just staring at the laptop and my mind was consumed by her. I was thinking about her all the time.

Yes, she refused to come with me. I know it might be hard for her to go with the stranger. All I can say is she is trying to ignore me. I even contacted JASON and he said she is okay and working in a café.

I said JASON and others not to tell her about the files and me. I kept that file with me. I don't want somebody to know about it.

Did she read all the news about me? Damn if she did then I don't know how to approach her. Nobody knows the real me except my friend STEVEN, MICHALE, JUSTINA, and my family. I can't even force her. It's her decision whether to come with me or not.

To make her trust me, I have to work hard and protect her from the back. So, that she won't be harmed. I don't want her to know about it.

I just shook my head and tried to focus on the meeting.

"The interior design for the private suite has been finalized and we just need the approval."

"I have checked all the designs and everything is good. Talk with the PR department and handle other works with them. LIAM, inform the legal department as well for the preparation of the papers."

"Okay, sir."

"If everything goes smoothly then start the work in the construction site as scheduled. Make sure everything is done in time."

"Okay, sir."

"That's all for today." After that everybody left the meeting room. "LIAM, send all the documents to my office," I said and he nodded.

I looked at JOHN and signaled him not to let anyone enter the room. Then, he left and stood outside the room. I grabbed my phone from the table and called JASON.

"Hello, JASON."

"Yes, ANTONIO. What happened?"

"Can you do me a favor?"

"Yeah sure. What it is?"

"I have thought of sending some people of mine to work in your café. They will be working in the café and at the same time protect you all as well." I bite my lips. I was not sure whether he will agree to it or not.

"It will be hard, ANTONIO. Coz we are full. There is no vacancy for the new people." He stopped talking. "But her safety comes first."

"Don't worry about anything else. They will be there just to protect you all and nothing else."

"Okay... I will manage here. When will they come here? So that I can inform others and manage the schedule for everybody."

"They will come tomorrow. Btw, how is she? Is everything okay?" I asked him.

Hope she is fine and doing well.

"She is fine and working in the café."

"Okay, take care of her. Don't worry, I will help you all. Okay, I have to work now. If something happens don't forget to inform me."
