ANTONIO POV
"Come out, girl." I heard the voice again.
"ZARA, help her and make sure she is safe."
"I will, JASON. But what about them?"
"Why don't we call the cops? They will deal with them."
"NAELY, you know the condition."
"I know JASON but we can't let them hurt her. That's the only way to protect her."
"I think NAELY is right. Call the cops before something happens."
I heard them talking and without thinking twice, I took out my phone and called him.
"Hello, JOHN. Call the cops, right NOW. Don't come inside until the cops come." I hang up the call and peeked toward the hall. Thankfully, they stopped firing.
"This is the last time. Come out, girl."
I glanced toward the girl. She was frightened and scared. All I can see were tears of fear in her eyes.
What is wrong with her? Who are they? Why are they doing all these things in the cafe?
"I don't want to go back again." She held the hand of the girl who was hugging her.
"Shh... Shh... everything will be okay... shh" She tried to comfort her.
"Please... save me... please"
"Don't worry, ANNIE. We are here." Another girl held her both hands. "We will protect you no matter what. We will never let you go back in that place."
"NAELY... Can you take her to the cabin?" The guy said.
"JASON, we can't do anything. We have to wait for the cops."
"Yes, NAELY is right. Look at her condition. We can't move her. Not right now. Let's wait for them."
I can listen to their conversation but my eyes were fixed on her. I wasn't able to see her in such a condition. Though I was cold from outside, I was feeling pain and sadness from inside.
When her tears were falling down, the pain inside me was increasing and I wasn't able to control this feeling.
Damn, what is this feeling? I have never felt something like this for someone else but why she? I don't even know her and I have never met her before except at the hospital. At the same time, I can't see her in such a condition. I should do something to help her.
I slowly peeked through the counter and they were still there. Still, the cops didn't arrive.
I have to do something. I took a glimpse of her and shook my head. Forget about everything just focus on her. I thought to myself and nodded.
"Where are you going?" The guy asked me as I took a step back away from them.
"To deal with them."
"Are you kidding me? Can't you see the condition? It's dangerous." He said looking at me.
"I know it is. But... We don't have any choice. And what is wrong with her? Why is she so scared?" I asked him.
"It's none of your business. Stay out of it." He said glaring at me.
"I don't know who you are but I am stuck here with everyone. So, it's my business as well." I looked at her.
I don't know why but I have the feeling to protect her. I thought to myself.
