Sounds of dried leaves being stepped over, one after another, it's what echoes through the forest in the middle of the night with the moonlight giving dim light. And suppressed cries coming from one bunny, who's running nonstop to wherever her feet would bring her. Tears didn't stop flowing no matter how many times she wiped it away with her forearm, it just kept on running, just like herself. Her legs are almost at its limit now, but she refused to give up. She won't give up. She must find that human before it's too late.
"Don't be so unfair!" Her cries loudened, and her hands still gripped tight the stem of the flower, the primrose that Yujin gave.
Until eventually, her knees just gave in, now she fell into the ground with a loud thud, leaves been blown away from the impact. She curled her body in silent grumps to endure the pain from her fall. And her tears, still dropping nonstop.
But she fought it, now fighting the numbness of her knees and forced herself to stand up, once again stepping forward to run.
When she just suddenly bumps into someone. "Hey! Watch where you're goin— ah? Wonyoung?!" Chaewon had her eyes widened upon seeing the bunny's broken state. "Yah! What happened to you? Are you crying?—" She stopped again, when Wonyoung suddenly looks at her with desperate eyes.
"Unnie, please tell me where human is," at this point, she already sounds like begging with her broken voice.
And Chaewon felt truly pitiful and sad for her especially after seeing her tear fell down her cheek. But she can't help but wonder to herself, "That human?" She looks up for a moment to think, only then brightened her face when she remembers, "She told me she's going back to her home to g—"
Then again, Wonyoung immediately ran, not even finishing Chaewon's sentence. Leaving the lioness alone, dumbfounded and confused as she continued her words to herself, "—get something..." She had her head tilted, still bewildered by the events, much rather cluttered by Wonyoung's unusual actions.
She haven't seen the bunny crying after such a long time, it might be the first time in a while. And she knew her too much. Wonyoung is someone with big and a soft heart, yet strong enough to not get easily swayed by small things. Seeing her being broken and hopeless like that, "What might've happened?" She questions herself.
"Let her be, she needs it," Suddenly, Hitomi's voice appeared, making Chaewon turn to her and greeted the lioness with a hug.
"You're behind this aren't you? What did you do?"
"Just... a little lying. Tho I told earlier she needs it. She must sort her feelings out," Hitomi flashed a small smile towards the older as she buried her face on her chest. "Let's go, I'm sleepy."
Wonyoung was still sprinting towards a path she knew was familiar. Never minding the numbness of her knees and just... continued.
She never knew why she became desperate like this, but she have no more time to think about it. She must find the human first.
Until she finally reached the place. A huge structure she once thought as another castle. It's the human's home.
She paced near, aligned with the window she knew was from her room. Then she started climbing up. Thanks to her childhood experiences, it wasn't hard for her until she reached the window itself. While in a rush, she pushed the window, and truly thankful that it was just open. She wasted no more time and immediately climbed in, only to freeze on her spot.
The room.... it's empty. There's no human anywhere.
At this point she completely fell hopeless, now had herself slumped on the floor as tears started flooding out again. She hit the slammed her fist on the floor, letting out her frustration as her whimpers voiced louder. "Why did you leave so soon," her voice cracked, bawling in agony.
But what she didn't know, is that there is another figure below, who just entered from climbing as well. Surprised when she saw a familiar figure on the floor of her room, "B-bunny-nim?" She whispered, yet the bunny didn't seem to hear.
Yujin slowly paced near, bending on her knees to match Wonyoung's level while she lifted her hand and softly touched the bunny's shoulder. "Bunny-nim," she called again, only making Wonyoung raise her head immediately with widened eyes.
Her breath hitched upon seeing Yujin's face, but immediately pushed herself to embrace the human, desperately wrapping her arms around her neck as she continues to bawl, "You don't have to leave me like that again, pabo!"
And Yujin... she was beyond flustered. Her heart beats rapidly and her face flashed immense blushing. Wonyoung's just hugged her real tight! She's having butterflies on her stomach.
Then she realized, Wonyoung's really hugging her like this, it's so warm. She won't waste such opportunity so she lifted her arms as well to reciprocate the bunny's hug with her arms circling around Wonyoung's waste. She had her face buried on the crook the bunny's neck, inhaling her sweet scent.
Only she got pulled back to her senses by Wonyoung's whimpers, so she shushed her down, "Bunny-nim, please don't cry. I can't bare seeing you cry." She tightens her embrace.
"Don't leave."
Yujin don't know why, but she heard Wonyoung's voice as if she was pleading. "Why.. would I leave?"
Wonyoung leans away, only giving Yujin's heart a painful squeeze upon seeing her face, she looks so vulnerable. "A-aren't you? You're going to leave to the city, far away from here," and she can't help herself but to shed tears again as she says those.
Yujin flashed her a small smile, afterwards wiping away Wonyoung's tears with her thumb, "Bunny-nim, I would never. How can I leave you? I still haven't shown my love to you yet, I won't leave. Well that's... unless you tell me so."
"Andwae! I won't permit you to leave anywhere!" Wonyoung had her arms tightened around her as she hugged her again with her face snuggling close to the human's chest like she's never going to let go.
Yujin's smile grew wider while her insides are panicking. All due to her assumption that Wonyoung wouldn't let her go, and for the other fact that... their skin ship right now is making her blush to the core! She then proudly placed her chin between Wonyoung's resting bunny ears, can't help herself but plant a quick peck on her crown, "Ne, I won't."
"So this is what it feels like... loving Wonyoung. I love it."
Much to her surprise, Wonyoung suddenly raised her head with angered eyebrows, only to came out cuter by her slightly bloated eyes and her red nose, "Promise!"
Yujin flashed a teasing smile, "Hmm... I can't. It depends on one thing."
"Eh? Mwoya??"
"Only," Yujin grinned wider as she tightened her hold and leans her face close to the bunny, "If you'll let me be your lover."
"Tsk," Wonyoung turns her face away from Yujin, also hiding herself from embarrassment she felt, especially when she knew she had a blush on her cheek. "You already are.... pabo."
