Chapter 28: Human is an Enemy

"Bunny-nim, you're so pretty as always!"

"Let human give you hug, it'll help with the cold!"

"Look Bunny-nim, I've caught a lot of fish!"

"Bunny-nim...!"

"Bunny-Wony~...."

"Human loves you!!"

Oh well... several days have already passed, and shortly, Yujin have become usually affectionate to Wonyoung. Yujin has long since been clingy to the latter, but now, anyone can almost assume she's absolutely glued to the bunny. There's never a day passed without the human hugging Wonyoung, sometimes even giving little kisses to her cheeks.

But Wonyoung..? She never minds it. She'd be lying to herself if she says she didn't like it this way. Wonyoung actually likes it when she receives affection from the human. It made her heart ease with warmth.

"Bunny-nim~!" And here we go again....

A big puppy immediately ran after Wonyoung, now standing behind her as Yujin extended both her arms and gave Wonyoung the warmest back hug ever. A wide smile plastered on her lips, and her eyes as well, they're smiling like crescent moon. Their cheeks rubbed against each other that made Wonyoung smile too as wide as Yujin's. A blush instantly crept up their faces.

"Well, good morning," Wonyoung turned around and placed her palm on Yujin's cheek. "I see, hyper as always, huh?"

"Hehe.. I had a good night sleep, that's why," She flashed a wider grin on her face, after then she giggles, "Of course because I slept cuddling with you... just like this," Then she tightens her arms around the bunny's waist, only pulling her closer.

"Silly human," Wonyoung smiled, after then poking Yujin's nose with her finger before letting herself off from the embrace. "Have you eaten already?"

Yujin nodded instantly with delighted hum, "Ne! The food you made was extra delicious! I couldn't get enough of it."

"I'll cook some more of those next time then."

Like a tamed puppy, Yujin nodded again in quick motions. But her smile faded immediately upon seeing the bunny walking away, "Ehh? Where are you going?"

"To the pixies' garden, I have to greet them."

Hearing this, Yujin's eyes flashed sparkles with her feet stomping in excitement, "Jinjjayo?? Can I come??"

"No."

The human's smile disappeared in less than a second, replaced by a pout as she paced near and held Wonyoung's hand, "Waeyooo?" She whines, lips curling down. "I want to meet your pixie friends too."

"Absolutely not," Wonyoung lets go of Yujin's hand. "You can't come along unless you finish the chores I told you to do," then she flicked her forehead.

"If I'm done?"

"Then I'll tour you around the forest."

"Really??" Lights in Yujin's eyes have once again sparkled the moment Wonyoung says those. Then with her almost infinite stamina, she immediately ran the opposite way, "I'll do my chores right away!!"

This made Wonyoung chuckle to herself, "Really silly, that human," She shakes her head with her smile still evident as she turns around and paced forward to her destination.

As she was walking, her heart continued beating aloud that she herself can hear. Wonyoung can even still feel the blush plastered on her cheeks. And her smile... she can't seem to get rid of it. But she was never planning to actually.

Wonyoung proudly held her chin up with the lovely smile she has and continued stepping forward.

Not until a figure approached her, resulting for her to drop her grin and stopped her pace.

"Good morning, my love," Prince Kai bowed as he greets the bunny, even holding her hand in attempt of kissing the back of her palm.

But Wonyoung pulled her hand away immediately, "What are you doing here?" She asked, voice sounds so empty as well as her face.

He then raised his head, ignoring away the embarrassment he felt from the rejection and forced a 'sweet' smile instead, "I'm here for you, of course."

"Have you forgotten? We're already over," Indeed, the relationship they had ended already. Wonyoung realized it wasn't healthy for her to keep their relationship. And besides, she already knew his bad side, especially after Linus and Chaewon told her about the truth behind those hunters.

But then, Kai suddenly smirks that only made the bunny crease her eyebrows deeper, "I know, that's why I'm here to claim you back."

"Enough, prince. I'm not falling into your traps again."

"Oh? Talking about traps..." Kai walks up behind her much to her surprise, and it made her froze from the tension. He then leans close to her ears and whispered, "Didn't you think about that human planning to trap you too?" And this, made her widen her eyes in shock.

"What are you talking about??"

"Try to think of it... she knows a lot about you. About us and our kingdom prior to meeting us," Of course, it never failed to give Wonyoung the doubt he expects her to, thus making him smirk more as he continues. "Take a look at what I found," then he handed the book to the bunny.

The very same children's book that Yujin has been treasuring for almost all her life. The same book where Yujin fell in love with Bunny Wonyoung at first sight.

The book entitled as; 'Tale of the Lonely Bunny'

"It's you," With inaudible victorious chuckle, Kai pointed the illustration on the cover page. And indeed, it was drawn clear, it's truly Wonyoung's face. "How come humans have this book about us? And the all happenings from hundred years ago, and even a predicted future, they were all written inside here."

And Wonyoung, she fell speechless, at the same time betrayed. She never realized up till now how Yujin have such knowledge about them. About how she knew Hitomi, Linus, the lake of diamonds, the tree house, the forest, and even including Wonyoung herself. But now that she knew... she felt nothing but being betrayed. Tears fell from her cheek as she cannot believe how she trusted Yujin.

"It only means one thing, my love," Kai went closer behind the bunny, then eventually crept his arms to wrap around her waist as he whispers near her ear again, "Humanities have sent that girl to watch over us. Humans are our enemies."
