⚠️ Trigger Warning ⚠️
Yoon Jin Ah never expected her life would turn out this way. Less than two weeks ago, her life seemed perfect. Her studies are doing well, her relationship is doing well, her boyfriend just got his dream job, and they are happy. Very happy. Just amazing, in one week, things change rapidly, and she lost everything that she ever dreams of. Her boyfriend left her without words, and he is nowhere to be found. No break-up note, no goodbye, nothing. She had never felt so betrayed in her life, and the one who is betraying their love is the man she trusted the most. She caressed her tummy lightly where the seed of their love is growing inside. Jin Ah did not know if this decision is correct or not, but she thinks that is the best. At least for now.
Jin Ah moved from her bed and packed her luggage as quietly as possible. She didn't want to wake Hyo Jin up. Hyo Jin is sleeping in her room next to her; hence Jin Ah didn't make any noise that could startle her. She wanted to leave quietly without telling anyone. She doesn't want to trouble Hyo Jin and her boyfriend anymore. She had bothered them so much this past week, and she feels terrible. Besides, she doesn't know what her plan is. For now, she thinks she just wants to go back to Japan and stay with her grandma.
She just packed light and took her basic necessities and clothes to make it easier for her travel. After packing her luggage, she grabbed some money, her savings account booklet and her passport and shoved them inside her backpack. Not to forget her baby's first sonogram photo and her diary. After making sure she has everything, she slowly picked up her luggage and walk out of the house silently. She walked towards the bus stop near the house and hailed a taxi. Lucky enough for her that she got a cab within 5 minutes of waiting.
"Where are you going, ahgassi?" the taxi driver asked as soon as she got inside the taxi.
"Take me to Gimpo Airport, please, ahjussi," her answer stunned the driver. It's almost 3 am in the morning, and he doesn't think there will be any flight coming or going out at that hour.
"Are you sure you are going to Gimpo, ahgassi? I don't think there will be any flight at this hour," he asked for confirmation again.
"Yes, ahjussi. I will wait for the first flight in the morning. I just want to be there early."
Without asking further, the driver made his way to the airport. While driving, he heard a sobbing sound coming from the back seat, and when he looked from the rearview mirror, he saw the young lady was crying. He drives slowly so that she can cry and calmed herself before reaching the airport.
Jin Ah doesn't know what she wanted to do now. She's pregnant, and her boyfriend just dumped her and can't be contacted. She felt ashamed to go to college and continue study. Sooner or later, her tummy will show up, and she can't hide her pregnancy, and people will find out that she has been dumped. The only thing she can think of now is to run away from Seoul. Runaway from the people who knew her, including her BFF, but the question is where she wants to go? The only place she can think now is to go back to Japan and stay with her grandmother, but how will she break the news about her baby and the baby's father? It will be a disgrace for her grandmother. Her grandmother is a well-respected professor in the university and in the neighbourhood. If people found out that the granddaughter of the well-known professor Go is pregnant, it might spoil her reputation. "No, I can't do that to halmeoni. I can put a shame on her," she thought to herself. After thinking and think of the circumstances, Jin Ah changed her mind. She will not go to Japan. She will not go to her grandmother, at least not until the baby is born. She needed to find a way to run from her life and also run from her grandmother. She should not let her grandmother find out about what happened, at least not before deciding what to do with the baby and her life.
