(Dublin, Ireland)
Jin Ah POV
The sounds of birds chirping by the window of my bedroom wake me up from my sleep. That is my natural alarm to tell me that the sun has risen. A pair of deep-set single-lid eyes, a perfect pointed nose, and a beautiful deep dimple smile greet me as soon as I open my eyes.
"Good morning, beautiful," his baritone morning voice calling me beautiful still makes my heart skips a beat.
I smile back at him while stretching my arms on top of my head, "Good morning, handsome."
He brushed away my sleep from the inner corner of my eyes. I was shy the first time he did that, but now I know it is just another one of his morning habits. "Do you have a good sleep?"
I nod. I can't remember when is the last time I sleep for more than 6 hours straight without being disturbed. After submitting my final drawing to the book author I am working with yesterday, I finally can sleep early last night and have a good rest.
"Do you know what day it is today?"
The sleepy me is trying to recall today's date, but I still can't remember if we have anything special on this date. "Did I missed anything? What day is today?" I ask, clueless.
"Nothing. Just another day for me loving you," he smiles and gives me a kiss on my temple.
I traced the scruffiness on my husband's jaw and getting myself closer to him for a quick morning kiss. The grittiness of his stubs that touches my skin makes me ticklish a little, but I love him like this rather than too clean shaved. I found him sexier and manlier.
I am about to deepen my kiss for my husband when a pair of chubby feet sticking out from the blanket near my shoulder, and I can feel movements near my stomach followed by the familiar giggles. I touch the bumpy structure between us with my left hand and begin to tickles the person, and he laughed. He pulls the blanket over and exposes himself.
"Kakkoong (peek a boo)," another cutie with a beautiful dimple smile greets me. "Oning," he greets me good morning in his own words.
He crawls and sits in between us, pouting his lips for a kiss which I just can't say no to. I give him a peck.
"Good morning, sweetheart," I said after, and he turns to his daddy to ask one from him.
"Good morning, Champ," the endearment Jung Hyuk gives to his son, Champion.
Jae Wook is three and a half now, and he will be turning four this November or five by Korean reckoning. At his age, he already picks up several words and can make short sentences by combining two simple words. Although most of the terms aren't clear, the therapist said he has excellent achievements. Jae Wook also understands both Korean and English.
He got his first steps a few weeks shy from his second birthday. We celebrated it by buying a cake and blew a candle with him because we were told he probably won't be able to walk until he is four. Still, Jae Wook always proves the predictions wrong. Jae Wook is in the upper percentile of development. Hence, he is our Champion.
"What is the time now?" I asked my husband because I feel like I had slept a lot.
He looks at the time on his phone, "It's 5 minutes past 7 am."
"Oh, it's still early. What time did this little boy wake up?" I nuzzle my face on my son's neck, and he giggles for being ticklish.
Jung Hyuk oppa ruffles Jae Wook's soft hair. His hair is similar to mine when I was a child. "I woke up at 6.30 am, and when I went to his room to change his diaper, he is already up and playing with his dinosaurs. I don't know how long it had been."
