Chapter 12

"We do." Jung Hyuk's answer made Jin Ah shocked.

"We do? You didn't tell me anything about it," Jin Ah looked at Jung Hyuk, confused.

"It's a surprise. I planned to tell you last night, but I forgot. Mihane." Jung Hyuk apologized. He did forget to tell her as both of them are too tired because of the ceremony.

"Where and when are you going?" Jin Ah asked further.

"Just nearby. Jeju. Our flight will be this evening."

Jin Ah is still off guard by Jung Hyuk's surprised honeymoon. She didn't see it coming.

"Why didn't you tell me we are going for a honeymoon?" Jin Ah asked as she packed her luggage.

"I wanted to surprise you. I thought it will be cool to give you a surprise," this is the first time he heard Jin Ah ask him in that straight tone, and he can feel she is mad at him.

"You should have told me. I don't like impromptu plans," though she did not raise her voice, she sounded cold.

Jung Hyuk never sees Jin Ah like this. She always looks soft and fragile, but this time she really looks untouchable. "Are you mad, Jin Ah ssi? I'm so sorry. To tell you the truth, I really wanted to take you on vacation. I have been planning for few weeks. I plan this trip as your semester break trip initially. To take you and your friends for a holiday. But since this marriage came into the picture, I thought it would be nice to use the holiday plan as a honeymoon trip. I didn't mean anything. I just want to reward you with a trip as a break. If you don't want to go, I can cancel it," he strolled to her and stood by her side.

He touched her shoulders slowly, "I'm sorry," this is the first time Jung Hyuk saw her getting mad, and he felt terrible for it.

To be honest, Jin Ah is quite angry initially when she heard about this surprise honeymoon, but when he told his reason, and he looks really sorry, she calms herself down. "No, I'm not mad, just shocked. It's so sudden, and I did not see it coming. You have prepared it, so no need to cancel it."

"It's okay. If you don't want to go, I can cancel it. I won't force you?"

Now, Jin Ah felt guilty. Did she sound so stern just now? "Don't cancel it. It will be a waste of money. But, next time, please tell me if you plan anything. I am not a fan of surprises," she told him directly but in a soft tone, and he nodded, telling her he understood.

"Go and take out the shirts you want to bring, let me pack for you, "Jin Ah offered to help him with packing.

"It's okay. I can pack myself. I don't want you to be exhausted. We still need to travel, and it's going to be quite a long journey for you," Jung Hyuk said as he started to pack himself.

"Just leave your luggage on the bed. I'll close it and carry it afterwards," he continued.

The reason Jin Ah can't be mad too long with him is he is considerate. Even though he sometimes did something, not to Jin Ah's favour, he admitted to his mistake and apologized. He will mend things almost immediately.

They just arrived at the Gimpo airport, and their flight is at 5 pm. They still have more than an hour to their flight. Jung Hyuk's younger brother and his mom send them to the airport. Jung Hyuk got all luggage from the trunk of the car and put it on the trolley. His mom already got inside the airport with Jin Ah, while his brother helped him with the luggage. Since he already did the web check-in, all he needed is just to drop their bags.
