Bucky awoke to the taste of rust on his tongue. He winces, unknowingly waking up Sam. Where was he? Was it just him here? Or is Sam here too? He certainly hopes that the latter isn't true, he doesn't want Sam to get mixed up with his business.

However, the hope soon fades when he hears a soft murmur. "Buck?" His eyes widen and his gaze snaps to Sam, his figure chained up. He looked okay, probably a few bruises and cuts. Bucky though, he wasn't okay at all. On the side of his head a big wound was open, causing the liquid to trickle down the side of his face. Sam notices it too.

And he didn't like it.

"Bucky, look at me." Slowly, his gaze flicks back to Sam's.

"You alright?" Bucky just stares, feeling guilty for getting not only him captured, but Sam too.  Bucky doesn't answer. Just stares at him, making Sam slightly uncomfortable.

Bucky watches as Sam flinches when the door screeches open, the light burning their eyes. "Well, look what the cat dragged in... Man, I've always wanted to capture the winter soldier... Bonus point for The Falcon."

"Fuck off..." He snarls, not missing the way Sam looks over at him. The female chuckles, though there was no sweetness evident. No it was dark.

It caused shivers to slither up Sam's spine, because who the hell is she and  why is Bucky suddenly really defensive? Sure, it's not the first time they've been captured but something in Bucky's eyes frighten Sam. It's absolute hatred in his partner's eyes that scared him.

"Oh c'mon, Buckaroo... Don't be like that... After all, we are family."

"We aren't family and won't ever be." Sam can see hurt wash over the female's face. "We used to be before you left..." Bucky rolls his eyes. "You're crazy, Rebecca." He snarls and Sam's eyes widen to the size of saucers.

Rebecca Barnes.

Oh my god... Is this his sister?

Bucky had briefly mentioned about his sister, Rebecca Barnes who he thought was dead.

"I have a question for you, Rebecca," Sam starts, ignoring the look of fear that gets sent his way.

"Fire away, little birdie. You won't be alive after I'm done with you anyways." Bucky bristles, the sound of chains yanking him back filling the empty room.

Sam glances at Bucky before looking up. "Why, after all this time have you decided to show up now? Bucky had thought you were dead and I don't about you, but if you really want to be family, you should have-"

"Watch your tongue, fag..." Sam rolls his eyes. "Or what?"

"Sam!" Bucky warns, his eyes locking onto Sam's. Without looking he continues. He hates her already. She hurt his Bucky.

"Seriously, what are you gonna do? You got daddy problems? Mummy problems?"

A slap causes Bucky to tense. "I said watch your tongue, Sam Wilson or I will find your nephews and your sister and kill them right in front of your eyes. I'm sure you wouldn't want that, right?"

"If you even lay a single finger-"
"What are you gonna do?" She mimics, a small pout on her face.

"What do you want?" Bucky asks, wanting to break free of the chains and just protect Sam but he can't.

He relaxes just slightly when his sister walks out, Sam instantly snapping his gaze from the door to Bucky. He started looking paler and Sam wasn't liking that at all. "Bucky?"

"What?"

"I thought you said she was dead?"

"I thought she was dead, but last week, when we were on a mission and I didn't answer straight away, I was confronted by Rebecca-"

"So you didn't bother to tell me, that she was alive this whole time!?"

"We're partners--"

"Co-workers!"

"-Man, we shouldn't be keeping secrets from each other."

"Like you don't have secrets too, Wilson."

"Fine then, keep them to yourself, just know that I will be keeping secrets too."

Both men roll their eyes , Bucky slowly dosing off. Sam watches and fear cripples him. So, Sam does the only thing he knows that'll keep Bucky awake.

He talks.

"So, Bucky. What were your thoughts on The Hobbit?" He starts, trying to look unbothered. "My thoughts on it is that-"

"Bucky, you awake?"

"Shut up, Wilson."

"No. I am going to annoy your ass and you can't do shit about it. It's funny how far we've gone, haven't we. You stole my steering wheel, and almost killed not only me, but your buddy Steve. Come to think of it, you still owe me that wheel, Barnes. So you better stay awake so I can get my wheel back."

"Sam, shut up! I'm not dying, it's a minor head injury. Nothing too bad."

"Nothing too bad!? Bucky, you're turning as white as a sheet and that's in the dark. You aren't fine and you are not going to fall asleep."

Sam yanks his chains, startling the ex soldier who's eyes snap open in alert. Sam could see the worry dissipate behind his eyes before his exterior is blank.

Sam frowns, knowing that he won't be able to get into Bucky's head for a while.

He starts to wonder, how did he and Bucky get caught in the first place? They weren't working on a case including Rebecca Barnes...

Unless...

Bucky.

He sighs, leaning his head back against the cold-hard surface.
