Chapter 52: Attack of the Yiga Clan

After Link failed to find Urbosa in the Gerudo Town, he was leaving the desert along with Riju, Daruk, Yunobo, Revali, Teba, Mipha, and Sidon.

They were hoping to find Urbosa in Gerudo Canyon, the valley separating the Gerudo Deserts from the rest of the Hyrulean Continent.

The group was not too far from the edge of the Desert, when suddenly, they heard noises

"What's that?" Teba asked 

"Sounds like we're being stalked and followed" Link said "Which is not something I want to be saying in a vast desert in the evening"

It turned out Link was right about being stalked and followed, because a few moments after he said that, red fumes of smoke appeared above the group and nearly all of the Yiga Clan's members were swinging weapons at the Heroes.

"Fight Back!" Daruk shouted as he grabbed two Yiga Footsoldiers and smashed them together.

Soon everyone was fighting three Yigas at a time, and after Link killed three Footsoldiers with one strike from the Master Sword, he decided it was time to make an escape. He grabbed onto a fearful Yiga Blademaster who planning on escaping and teleporting back to base, but Link tagged along.

When Link jumped on the vanishing Yiga it felt strange and only managed to teleport to the end of Karusa Valley, the valley in the Gerudo Highlands leading right to the Yiga Clan Hideout.

"I guess I'm back at your base" Link smiled to the shocked Yiga.

He raised his mighty Windcleaver Sword, but Link dodged the strike, drew his Royal Guard's Bow, and fired an arrow into the Yiga's skull, killing it.

The Hero of Hyrule proceeded to enter the Yiga Clan Hideout a second time, but this time with the intention of slaughtering Master Kohga and Sooga for everything horrible they had done to Hyrule. Like how they pretty much killed his previous incarnation

"Sooga didn't finish me, but he almost did" the Hero's Spirit said "After dueling him, my Champions Tunic was ruined and my Master Sword was in the wall. But Sooga moved to fight a Royal Guard, so a Yiga Footsoldier grabbed his Vicious Sickle and killed me. I remember it like it was yesterday"

"Yeah" Link said "And now we're coming for revenge"

Multiple Yiga soldiers saw Link and attacked within the complex, but Link took them all out with no hesitation, killing Yiga after Yiga no matter how strong they were or how many sheikah ninja skills they had mastered or how many years they had spent training to kill the Hero or how many Bananas they had stuffed in their mouth.

After beheading a Yiga Blademaster, Link entered the outdoor chamber at the end of the Yiga Clan Hideout, Master Kohga's Quarters.

It was the valley with a bottomless hole in the center of it, and it was outside.

There was a fat Yiga staring down hole, who turned to face Link.

It was Master Kohga.

"Judging by the screams, I'm assuming all who stayed in the Yiga Hideout are dead" Master Kohga said "And it is highly possible that you're friends in the Desert will manage to finish off all of the Yigas who were sent there"

"Only those two groups?" Link asked "The Thirty Yiga members in the desert and the fifteen in the Hideout?"

"Our numbers have been decreasing" Kohga sighed "Sometimes the members end themselves because of all the bad things they have to do. Sometimes we send squads of ten to fight the Gerudo and none come back. Many of us die because of eating too many Bananas, which I believe is what will happen to me within the week"

"It is true" Sooga said as he appeared beside Kogha

"So here is the plan" Kohga said "Since my health disorder will kill me anyways, I don't have anything to lose in this fight. I don't care If I have to die to defeat you. Because when I do, Sooga will take over evern if all the other Yiga Clan members are dead. He will report to Emperor Ganondorf and Astor"

Kohga was so overweight that he wasn't even able to levitate or teleport as some Yigas could.

"My abilities have left me too with this health disorder" Kohga sighed "I can't summon giant metal balls anymore...."

While Sooga stood off to the side, Kohga just started running towards Link. 

The Yiga master put his hand on his mask, and ripped it apart to reveal the face of an elderly sheikah man

"Hyrule betrayed us!" Kohga snarled

"You killed people who didn't deserve to be killed" Link growled, and unsheathed the Master Sword

Kohga stuffed one final banana into his mouth, and lunged towards Link.

Link swiped with the Master Sword as Kohga approached to tear the Yiga into two, and Link soon heard two thumps behind him.

"Let's fight, Master Sooga" Link looked at Sooga, who took his mask off to reveal the face of a slightly younger Sheikah man.

Sooga drew his twin Katana swords, and charged at Link.

His twin swords clashed with Link's Master Sword, and the Hero of Hyrule defended with his Hylian Shield.

Sooga tripped and fell into the bottomless pit, and grabbed onto a ledge.

"Ack!" Sooga yelled "Can't.....concentrate for....teleporting....."

As Sooga struggled to grab onto the ledge, Link got out his Royal Guard's Bow and his arrows.

"NO!" Sooga shouted "I'm defenseless! Why are you doing this!"

Link strung an arrow to his bow, and aimed at the struggling Yiga warrior "Because you killed Link, not me, but the other Link, who could've lived a great life with his friends if it wasn't for the evil actions of your clan" Link released the arrow.

One Arrow went through the skull of Sooga, and Sooga's corpse fell into the bottomless pit.

Link looked up at the cliffs of the Gerudo Highlands that overlooked the chamber, where Astor and his new pet Harbinger Ganon observing from a distance

Astor glared at Link, and vanished with his pet.

Link took a second to examine the chamber, and noticed an unconscious Urbosa in a corner.

He touched Urbosa with the sword, and she woke up.

"Link!" Urbosa exclaimed "Wondered when I was going to see anyone else again"

"We have to get back to the others"

"Alright then, let's go"

Link and Urbosa walked out through the abandoned hideout.

They walked through Karusa Valley, and strolled through the Northeast Gerudo Desert until they were with their allies, who had finished off the last of the Yiga Clan.

"The Yiga Clan is over" Link said "And Urbosa is here

"Hey" Urbosa waved

"What about Sooga and Kohga?" Daruk asked

"Dead" Link said "I killed them both. They deserved it"

"Okay" Revali replied "They did deserve it, those monsters"

"Link?" Mipha asked

"Yes Mipha?"

"What are we going to do next?"

"Well" Link said "We're going to find Midna and Princess Zelda. And after we've done that..."

"What?" Daruk asked

"Well" Link said "After that, I'm gonna kill Ganondorf"
