Dark Prince (Nico Di Angelo x Reader)

First (Part 3)

First bath

It had been two tiredly weeks since you'd come home from the hospital. You were exhausted and so was Nico. The latest addition to your family had kept the two of you up every night.

You were new to this, of course, but you loved every second of it. Every time you looked at your little girl or every time she'd wrap her little fingers around your thumb, you couldn't help but smile.

After a particularly long day, you and Nico were going to give little (c/n) her first bath. You had set up the bathtub, the little rubber ducks floating in the clear water.

Nico comes running into the bathroom a camera in hand. 'I'm ready.'

You laugh 'Ok then.' You look at your little girl 'Ready (c/n)?' before slowing easing her into the bathtub. She giggles as she feels the warm water on her soft skin.

'Say dada!'

You smack him playfully on the arm 'She's two weeks old!'

Little (c/n) tries to grab one if the foaling ducks in the process pushing them further away.

Nico stares at her in awe 'she's amazing.'

'Just like her father' you pull Nico down next to you the two of you watching your daughter enjoy her first time in the water.

That's when it happens.

(C/n) was trying her best to grab one of the floating toys when she accidently swallows a mouth full of water. All three of you were silent for a few seconds.

Then the crying happens.

'Ok, it's ok baby' you say trying to calm her down. 'Nico help me calm her down!' You say, your back to him

You hear a defining crack behind you making you turn around. Nico was staring at the floor mouth open. You gasp in surprise to see the bathroom floor split in half, a skeleton hand gripping the edge climbing out. 'Is that...?' Nico nods

The two of you turn back to your now silent child, staring at the rising skeleton.

'No!' Nico looks horrified, he turns towards the skeleton 'leave!  And the gap starts to close, skeleton falling back into the darkness. Nico slumps by the tub as you take (c/n) out of the bathtub, wrapping her in a towel.

'Well.' You say

Nico chuckles 'that was eventful'

You smile 'her first bath and we know how powerful she is'

First Tooth

You collapse onto the couch next to Nico exhausted, burying your face in his side.

He looks at you 'how was work?'

'Meh.' You feel him laugh as he puts an arm around you. 'Where's (c/n)?'

'She said she had a surprised for us.'

This got your attention as you looked up 'Surprise?'

Just then (c/n) comes running into the room looking ecstatic 'Mummy! Daddy! Look what happened!'

She waddles over to the two of you, stopping in front of the both of you and opening her mouth. A very obvious loose tooth barely hangs from her gums. 'Ma tooth!'

Your eyes widen 'It's your first lose tooth!'

She nods aggressively 'will the tooth fairy is going to visit me today?'

'Of course she will, but only if that tooth of yours falls out by tonight.' Nico replies as he pulls her onto his lap, giving her a kiss on her head. 'Dinner anyone?'

'I'm hungry.' (c/n) says

'Me too. 'Nico looks at you sheepishly

You laugh getting up 'My hungry babies.'

'I'm not a baby!' you hear both say.

12:01 AM

Nico silently opens (c/n)'s bedroom door allowing light to softly flood her bedroom. On the bed she sleeps peacefully; a burrito in warm blankets and teddy bears.

Nico turns around to you 'Where's the tooth?' (c/n) tooth had fallen off in the middle of dinner and she had insisted on keeping it for the tooth fairy.

'Under the pillow.' You whisper back 'You got the money?'

Nico gives you a thumbs up before tip toeing to (c/n)'s bed. He stealthily slips his hand under her pillow pulling the tooth out, then slipping the dollar in place of the tooth.

Nico quickly walks back to you and you lean in close to him 'You'd make a great tooth fairy.'

'No, I think you'd look better in a short tutu.'

'Dream on babe.'

That's when you hear the shifting as (c/n) sits up trying to get a better look at the two people in her room. Nico pulls you towards the first shadow he sees blending in.

After a few seconds she lays back down, fast asleep, allowing the two of you to scramble out of the room and into the next room, eager to see the excitement on your little girl's face the next morning.
