Dark Prince (Nico Di Angelo x Reader)

The Infirmary

Nico barely made it to the infirmary, stumbling on the steps leading inside. His insides felt like they were shriveled up, his throat burning and his head was pounding.

So this was how he was going to die. The Son of Hades defeated by a terrible plague, one that would have made the gods tremble.

Nico collapses onto the first empty bed he saw relishing in the soft sheets.

‘Oh my gods!’ a high voice snaps Nico out of his thoughts, the Ghost King looks up, his eyes meeting your (e/c) eyes. ‘Did you just get here?’

‘Yes.’ He manages out before falling into a coughing fit.

You rush away to get some supplies for Nico, dashing back with a towel, a bowl of water, some ambrosia and a thermometer.

You’d seen the symptoms before but never the face. Who was this guy you wondered to yourself as you sat next to his bed.

 ‘Open.’ You say as you placed the thermometer in his mouth, gasping at the high temperature.

‘What is it? Some kind of deadly virus? A curse? Is it fatal?’ Nico asks

You look at him confused, then realized that the boy really thought he was dying. That made you smile ‘You’ve got a fever.’

‘A what?’

‘Just a fever…’

‘Nico.’

‘Nico, you’ve only got a fever.’ You say eyes twinkling with laughter.

‘Oh. Didn’t feel like just a fever.’ He looks down embarrassed. You couldn’t help but think he looked extremely cute when he blushed.

‘I take it you don’t get sick too often?’

‘No, I don’t think I’ve had a fever in over 60 years…’

You drop the towel you were about to place into the bowl ’60 YEARS?’

‘It’s a long story.’

‘Right.’ Your curiosity about this guy just grew. You wet the little towel in the cold water, squeezing the water out of it after.

Nico watched as you worked, captivated by your every movement. When you finished with the towel you looked up at the raven haired boy only to find him staring at you.

You felt your face grow hot.

‘Stay still.’ You say as you smooth back the hair falling onto his forehead, Nico close his eyes to the feeling of your cool hands on his skin.
