Thanksgiving

What a way to celebrate Thanksgiving. In the middle of a quest.

You were lying on the hotel bed string up at the celling. Waiting for Jason and Piper to come back with food. You were on a quest with them and Nico too, Jason and Piper had volunteered to get food around an hour ago. Obviously they got carried away.

Sighing out of boredom you roll over onto your stomach looking out of the window. You hear the bathroom door unlock as Nico walks out. His hair wet was plastered to the sides of his pale face. His black t shirt sticking slightly to his body.

You gulped. You had been hoping that Jason and Piper would have been back before Nico got out of the shower so you wouldn’t be alone together. No such luck.

‘Hey.’ He said sitting next to your lying form. ‘They not back yet?’

You sit up to face him ‘Nope.’ After a few seconds of agonizing silence you say. ‘Did you now its thanksgiving today?’

His eyes widen slightly ‘Really?’

‘Hmmhmm.’ you nod

‘How would you have usually celebrated Thanksgiving?’

‘Well.’ You fell back down across the bed. ‘Usually I’d be with my family. We’d have a nice dinner and watch a bunch of movies. Oh! This one time we went to a waterpark. That was pretty awesome.’ You finished off with a small smile on your face.

You felt Nico lie next to you making your heart rate speed up. Your turn your head towards him. Nico smiles, his face inches away from yours.

‘That sounds nice.’

‘How would you use to celebrate Thanksgiving?’

His eyes darken slightly at the mention of his past ‘I didn’t.’

‘Oh. Well when I was younger my parents would always ask us what we’re thankful for before we had dinner.’ He looks at you suspiciously ‘wanna try it?’

He gives you an amused smile ‘Ok, but you go first.’

‘Ok, so I’m thankful that we haven’t been killed by any monsters…yet. Your turn.’

‘I’m thankful for the food that Jason and Piper are bring us.’

You laughed ‘Ok seriously though. I’m thankful for camp. It home.’

He moves closer to you, you could now feel his warm breath on your cheek ‘I’m thankful that Jason and Piper aren’t back yet.’ He whispers

You bite your lip nervously ‘Why?’

He cups you cheek, pulling you up towards his face and places the lightest kiss on your lips in answer. He pulls away a few seconds later. You smile brightly at him and pull him back down to you again. Neither of you noticed Jason and Piper walking into the room with Chinese take-outs in their hands.

‘I’m thankful the two of you finally got together.’ Jason voices up, earning a smack on the arm from Piper.

The two of you look up in shock and embarrassment ‘We were just leaving…’ Piper smiled leaving two take out boxes on the table before pulling Jason out of the room.
